Whats up with that WR Mike Jefferson dude thats on our team? Does anyone know much about him. I keep hearing Jerry and Stephen mention him in the same breathe with Stanback and I know how high they are on Stanback. Does his upside look good or something. Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on him.

wide receiver who is a practice squad player. He was originally signed by the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Montana State. He had some pretty impressive stats in 2006 gaining over 1000 yards receiving with 11 total TDs. He averaged 15.5 yards per reception and 8.1 yards per carry rushing in '06. Overall he averaged 15.7 yards per reception and 4.7 yards rushing his 3 seasons at college.

Jefferson, a native of El Paso, called his opportunity with the Cowboys a dream come true. “Everything worked out,” Jefferson said. “Growing up here, it’s the Cowboys or nothing.” In his one season at Montana State, Jefferson caught 66 passes for 1,023 yards and nine touchdowns. His 1,450 all-purpose yards led the Big Sky Conference. He transferred to Montana State from Arizona.

does anyone remember watching him play in any of the preseason games? How did he look

I'm not 100% positive but I think I saw him here in the Alamo Dome at last year's training camp. Their was one WR that was catching everything thrown his way and I asked a guy with a lineup sheet who he was. I'm thinking it's this guy.

I vaguely remember one catch in preseason by him. He had decent size and ran really smooth(quick footed) and had pretty good speed.
