it's the same reason a guy like Tom Brady and Brock Purdy fall did they have blown knees? I know a lot of players that have fallen of all different positions that were not injured just happened to get overlooked and fall in the draft because the drafts not perfect there's some undrafted players lots of them that make the Hall of Fame the draft is not a perfect place I'm not saying this kids gonna be good or not but you're off base by predicting doom and gloom of what you think is historically if you're a low draft pick you probably have no chance in the NFL and I'd say you have less of a alert when you're picked and lower because a lot of reaches happen in the first round.. Expert teams that are supposed to be filling BPA versus need but go with need... That's why the lower the rounds you get you get a guy like I don't know Duran bland how does he get into the fifth round it happens you know it wasn't an injury..

And I'm just going by what some New England fans reactions they're upset they didn't get enough for him they seem to like him I don't really know much about him I didn't even watch the game he beat Buffalo you know when they had backups but he played very well in that game regardless if you wanna look at it as a preseason game it wasn't a preseason game but it's OK to feel good about the guy until he proves one way or the other who's right...

Milton was drafted in the 6th because he was not a good prospect. Not any more complicated.

Is it possible? Yup, but its not happening anytime soon, unless Dak goes down.
 
I live in Tennessee and have watched him play several games. He has a rocket for an arm but he doesn't make good decisions with the ball. That is why he did not start. If he can clean that up he will be good but I suspect he will still have the same issues as when he played in TN. jmho.

We actually have Trey Lance on the team. Big, fast, #2 pick, rocket arn. He's a bit of a cross between Cam Newton, Joe Montana, and Dan Marino. Oh and Brett Favre. I SEE A TOP 1 OFFENSE WITH HIM.....perhaps even better.

Who is this quarterback you are referring to? Is it Trey Lance? If so, Dallas could not afford a first-round quarterback whom San Francisco drafted after initially evaluating him.

What is needed is for Dallas to do:
  • a proper evaluation of a long-term, high potential quarterback
  • likely graded for the first round
  • do whatever is necessary to draft him
  • construct a solid, consistent offensive machine around him
Troy Aikman was the last first rounder that fit all of the above criteria, although the offense was essentially built around Emmitt Smith. He basically fell into Jerry Jones' lap. Jones has been incapable of filling that bill. And the candidates he failed to secure were quarterbacks like Johnny Manziel and Paxton Lynch during the times he tried.
