There could be hope for the Cowboys franchise if they finish the job.
Joe Milton is a legitimate candidate to be a long-term franchise quarterback.
However, Dak Prescott remains entrenched as the Cowboys starter. Not because he's earned it, but because he's got that huge contract. One thing we know about Jerry is that he will play the higher paid player, regardless if it is best for the team or not.
There is no way Joe Milton can succeed as long as Dak is still on the team. Even if Dak were injured, he would be returning to the starting spot as soon as he is healthy.
Jerry isn't about to admit to his mistake.

There is a way, if Dak goes down with an injury that sidelines him, he may be up next! The key is, is he good enough to beat out Grier!!!???

He'll either be good enough to give us hope or bad enough to get a very high pick. Either way is fine with me. Doubt he'd have the Cooper rush treadmill effect

People said the same thing about Romo and what happened? Dak retired him. Same could happen to Dakota. It won’t but it could.

This.

Dak will do as he always does when he feels pressure.

Play bad, lose games, get “hurt”, go away.
No, Dak will influence him in the locker room that he is such a great teammate and QB just like he has the whole locker room fooled. The kid is doomed under Dak's presence.

Workforce Management is his specially.

Grier came into the league in 2019. He has appeared in a grand total of TWO regular season games. Two. Thats it.
28 of 52, 0 TD, 4 INT. You with a half a load on, Coogi, could beat out Grier.

I have noticed that there are not as many Dak lovers that use to post here that there once were. Plus, I see a lot of poster dogging the great Dak who never used to, but now are.
Maybe I should make a sign that says, "The End Is Near" and walk around outside.

Wait til Jerry is on the sideline at training camp and Milton starts throwing lasers all over the field. It's going to make Dak look like the noodle arm QB we know he is.

And Rush. And Lance.

My dream job? Back up NFL QB. Because either the starter is really good and no one cares about you. Or the starting QB isn't good and you are the fans favorite because of "hope". Sure, the money isn't as good as a starter, but a lot less hits too. CTE is scary man. LOL
