MLB 11 The Show

The demo is out now. I have mixed feeling about this game.

The Good- The analogue controls are better than the button controls IMO.

The Bad- Other than the analogue controls and the different little things like lineup cards THIS IS THE SAME GAME AS MLB 10.

I noticed the commentary is the exact same as last year's and almost if they did a voice over. Same mistakes made in MLB 10 that are in MLB 11 like errors in commentary. Same animations and all.

I think this will be the very first MLB game I haven't bought in a while. I'll have fun with MLB 10 and wait it out till MLB 12.

What are your thoughts on the demo?

I have bought all of the MLB The Show games for the past 3-4 years but told myself I'm done with them after last years.

Year after year, they are the exact same game. Same with Madden. There is never anything different about them.

I do love that Mauer got on the cover 2 years in a row

I'm glad you agree with me about the same game. But you must understand that from a fan of another team how stupid it is do the same player on the cover two years in a row.

mlb10 the show was best game ever to me. I'm glad they didnt change it like NBA 2k11 which now bites. Dont mess w/ a success can't wait for release!

The Show is such a great game, and I love playing it, but baseball's seasons, etc. are far too long for me to enjoy the game.

Yeah, he's crazy...NBA 2K11 is easily the greatest sports game of all time. They should literally release a giant patch for the game this season called the "2K12 Patch" and call it good. The game is perfect.

I don't think I've played a fun baseball video game in over 10 years. There were some really good ones in the good old days. I really wish they'd make an updated version of Baseball Stars (The NES version, not the Neo Geo version). And that other one that let you buy super abilities for your players. It wasn't realistic, but it was fun.

The Show is a very fun game IMO and I really like the analog controls but that is not worth $60. It should be patched in.
