Josh Hamilton. Even when he is in a slump, he is a force of destruction to opposing teams. Five tools and all of them top notch.

He is damn fun to watch. That double play the other night where he covered enough ground to catch the ball, completely surprised the guy on first. Then fired a laser beam (from the freaking outfield) to first base as if he was playing short stop!

.357 batting average, .409 on base precentage, .630 slugging precentage, giving him a crazy 1.039 on base + slugging precentage, will earn the gold glove for center field this year, .377 with runners in scoring position, .386 average with runners on base, 18 of his 28 HRs have come with runners on base, .385 average with runners on base and two outs, and 88 RBIs thus far.

Josh Hamilton is a one man wrecking crew and he does it when it counts the most. With players on base! CAPTAIN CLUTCH! :laugh2:

He plays both. He was playing center the other night when he threw out that guy from the outfield.

The only reason he has moved from center is Borbon and the fact that he tends to injure himself in his fearless pursuit of balls to the center field walls.

I saw that. They compared him toe Mantle, Dimaggio, and damn I can't remember the other guys name. Said they were the only players in MLB history to play center field and have something like a .350+ average, five tool players, who also had a 400+ obp and 600+ slugging percentage.

Good stuff.

Miguel Cabrera and his 102RBI say hello.

Migual Cabrera takes a seat when it comes to Hamilton dominating all aspects of the game. Hamilton is a complete player, not just a hitter.

As I said, five tools. Hitting, hitting for power, base running, fielding, and throwing. Hamilton has all five, Cabrera does not.

Josh Hamilton and Robinson Cano are the two that will be leading in the voting for sure. The Tigers blow hard and have no chance at the playoffs which will pretty much guarantee Cabrera not winning the MVP, although deserving on individual statistics alone.

Joey Votto and Albert are battling it out in the NL. My guess is that Albert will get it as he is turning it on big time the past few weeks.

My vote (biased as it is) is Robinson Cano, at least as far as the AL MVP goes. Cabrera would be a good choice too. Went to one of the Tigers @ Yankees games last week and was fortune enough to watch both of these guys hit homers.
