Is this getting ridiculous or what? I saw Scherzer was checked about 3 times in a single game.

And here's Bauer showing off what rosin and sweat can do.

I agree with limiting what substances can be put on a ball, but sweat and rosin appear to be pretty damn effective so how do you deal with that?

I also saw Pedro Martinez on Baseball Tonight show that you can rub your fingers to generate friction and rosin alone will become very sticky.

I just don't know what the endgame is. Seems like the big secret everyone knew about is now interrupting the game. I don't like it.

They need to make the cover of the ball out of Hydro-shield.

This entire thing is stupid beyond belief. You are never going to be able to get this kind of thing out of the game. But MLB, they are doing things that they know full well, can't be implemented and most fans don't know or understand the difference because they've never played Baseball at a level that deals with any of this. This is completely irresponsible IMO but whatever. MLB will continue to screw up the game and then blame whomever for it. This is just like Steroid/Juiced Ball era in the early 2000s. Baseball knew what was up and they just looked the other way. Right now, today, they still know what's up and they are trying to muddy the water instead of acknowledge that this is always going to be a part of baseball. That's just how it is.
