I’ve been saying for some time, Peterson needs to become a FS just like Charles and Rod did. He was getting beat a lot he ain’t the speedster he once was but he’s fast for a safety and taking care of the back end.

It's not the worst mock I've seen.

Collins is one of my pet cats this year. As are Tufele and McNeil. You'd have two disruptive DT's that are better than anything we have.

I just don't know about Grant. He shows some good and then some very pedestrian reps.

I think both is overkill though. Both are 1T's to me. I think Gallimore is more a passing down 1T. In this scenario, I think I take Tuefle and see if I can land get value at DB with 55. Or maybe a 3T. Second and 3rd could be deep with DT's

I like your thought process. I'll take the first 2 picks for sure. Not sure about Peterson at this point, unless it's for S.

I started a thread in the Roster Zone asking for everyone's picks and FA targets now that Quinn is the DC.

Peterson may or may not make a good free safety. IMO he doesn't want to tackle. He does still have good speed and is a ball hawk. Rather we could afford him is another question. I like the mock. We need lots of bodies on Defense, but we can't overlook the O-line.

I think you can get two inspired years out of Peterson at CB as a solid if not very good CB and move him to FS Nickle back.

The rushing defense this past season and the Rams playoff game shows you that you have nothing but rotational players at DT.

Investing up the middle of the defense with a quality 1DT and 3DT will help the linebackers and outside rush. This in turn helps the secondary get more turnovers. It's a need not overkill.

I've thought about this as well. If he can be convinced of the move, I think he could have a few good years there. At 30, he's not too old, but his corner skills have definitely slipped.

If we play Cover-3, free safety is less of a tackling position. He'd spend a lot of time in coverage while the corners and strong safety would play the run more. At deep safety, he'd be more last line of defense.

Built up the middle of the defense, I like that. Dallas does need 2 DTs and a monster LB...check. Then, you add a guy who can play back deep and track the ball...good.
