Trades are super hard to predict and hardly ever happen, but nonetheless I had 2 trade downs here. To PIT for #32 and #80, then to CAR for #39 and #93. Posting because it was similar to KD Drummond’s mock.

39. Keeanu Benton, DT, Wisconsin

58. Kyu Blu Kelly, CB, Stanford

80. Tank Bigsby, RB, Auburn

90. Dylan Horton, DE, TCU

93. Andrei Iosivas, WR, Princeton

128. Josh Whyle, TE, Cincinnati

169. Trey Dean, S, Florida

211. Trevor Reid, OT, Louisville

244. Christopher Dunn, PK, NCST

No thanks. I'm ok trading down a few spots, but not eight picks into the second round. Quality over quantity for me. I'll take John Michael Schmitz over Benton, Bigsby and Iosivas any day.

Interesting. A center over 3 good players at positions of need. To each their own, I guess.

Do not trade down past the 2nd round this year. This draft falls off a cliff after pick 90.

You never know for sure how players are gonna translate to the League but, I'll take a guy who looks like plug-in starter and significant upgrade at G or C over a RB and two rotational guys. Don't get me wrong. I love Benton and Iosivas, but we'll have nine picks anyway counting comps, and I HATE the idea of sacrificing a shot at a player like Schmitz, or others, when we can get similar guys without sacrificing the potential blue-chipper.

I like Roy almost as much as Benton and guys like Perry and X Hutchinson with measurables similar to Iosivas and big-time production at P5 schools almost as much as the Princeton stud. Bigsby is a horse but you can get a guy like Abanikanda, who's two inches shorter and just as heavy and who in my opinion is a much more explosive runner than Bigsby in the 4th or 5th round. So I Iike filling roster holes as much as anyone else. I just don't think you have to make trades and pass up talent to do it..

I offer...

26. Schmitz
58. Kyu Blu Kelly
90. Jaq Roy (DT)
129. A.T. Perry (WR)
163. Dean
170. Israel Ibanikanda (RB)
176. Charlie Jones (WR)
211. Payne Durham (TE)
246. Christopher Dunn, (K)

Not blaming you but Drummond did the classic clueless Cowboy fan trade that gives us way more than we would get in a trade.
Never fails.
Cowboy fans (and writers) always create trades that have Jerry fleecing all the other owners

Pick 26 would need to add at minimum a 4th and maybe a 5th or 6th to get both 32 and 80

Again, not a stab at you, just pointing out how it is. Drummond was having wishful thinking.

You didn’t notice that we only had 1 5th round pick left in this mock, not 3, did you? If you look at the Rich Hill trade value table, the trades were each within 3% of exact even value.

And if someone’s trading up to target a player in the first round, you might get a little more back in value.

Not sure that Perry is a fits what we want at WR and don’t know much about Ibanikanda, but I’d be good with the rest.
