Since we have no idea what the Cowboys are planning to do with extensions of Dak, CeeDee and Micah let's just assume they want to get right with the cap in 2024 and 2025 and basically reset the salary cap for them.

For going signing bottom of the barrel free agents that are left, here are the trades.

Minnesota misses out on moving up for a QB and do not want Penix or Nix so bite the bullet and trade #11, #23, and 3rd in 2025, 1st and 4th in 2026 for Dak Prescott QB. Believing they are better off to compete in the division in 2024 and beyond with Dak.

Jacksonville needs to compete with Houston in their division so they trade #17, #48 and #114 to Dallas for CeeDee Lamb.

These two trades result in a minus cap of $11 million for Dak and a plus $17 million for CeeDee for a plus of $6 millon for the cap in 2024. As to 2025, they would have 37 guys on the roster with $140 million in cap space (this obviously is before they extend Parsons or sign any draft picks from 2024).

Draft:
11. Olu Fashanu LT Penn St. - excellent run blocker and pass blocker takes Tyron Smith place and keeps Tyler Smith at LG
17. Trade - Kansas City trades #32, #64 and 3rd in 2025 for #17 as Rice is in legal trouble so they move up for Adonai Mitchell WR
23. Michael Penix QB Washington - great arm, injury concern, very accurate passer and cheap replacement for Dak
24. Brian Thomas, Jr. WR LSU - big, strong, great pass catcher to replace Lamb
32. Graham Barton OC Duke - can play all 5 OL spots, should start at OC giving Dallas young, good/great OL for several years
48. T'Vondre Sweat DT Texas - final a guy who can actually play the NT spot
56. Jonathan Brooks RB Texas - although had an ACL injury, very good runner and good pass catcher out of the backfield
64. Junior Colson ILB Michigan - not flashy but great tackler, great run stopper, smart
87. Max Melton CB Rutgers - fits the Zimmer mode, good player, steady, doesn't make mistakes
174. Myles Cole DE/Edge Texas Tech - another Zimmer fit, good player, doesn't make penalty, smart, makes plays
213. Cornilus Johnson WR Michigan - great hands, good big slot guy
233. Jackson Mitchell OLB UConn - good speed, good tackler, covers the TE very well
244. Dillon Johnson RB Washington - steady runner, good pass blocker, can get the yards at the goal line
3rd in 2025
3rd in 2025
1st in 2026
4th in 2026

Could it happen, maybe but at least would keep us competitive in next few years. Just a dirty dozen draft in 2024.
