Watching Good Morning Football, one of the host made this analogy about the Baltimore Ravens defense. They play fierce and opposes their style of defense onto their opponents. They play like a "monster". Their defense is different compared to numerous other NFL teams defense that play with 'flash" like a show horse. Wanting praises and popularity.

The Ravens defense has been playing this 'monster' type D since Ray Lewis. Their D does produce turnovers as Dallas does but their D is so strong against run year in and year our. This season, Ravens D has given up a total of 20 TDs, compared to Dallas 32 (through Week 15)

Cowboys have not had a physical presence --at MLB-- since Ken Norton, jr.

Gut check time is what they used to call it. Man up and become the bullies or monsters or whatever you want to call it.

Rather we are 5th seed or 2nd seed, time to man up.

Stop about the officials and calls, non calls, just go and play with some fire. Regain that momentum.

Nothing else to say but to go and win.

It's not a matter of meanest, fastest, or most popular. Hit 'em first and keep it up.

I know we make fun of Jaylen and LVE now but in 2018, they both played and hit like the Ravens/Niners LBs.

Never had an issue with Jaylon playing soft. His problem was getting to the point of attack on time.

We don't have LBs that have lateral speed, size, or physicality......Draft room/scout department/front office.......are you reading this?

What the truly lockdown defenses of the last 20 years all have in common is premium linebacker talent. You need dudes that can fly around and blow up plays, get off blocks, and set the tone in order to become truly dominant.

The 49ers and Ravens have this at LB, Dallas does not at all. When they play Micah at MLB, they get closer. He made some really nice plays in the MIA game from the position.

Linebacker is the difference between a good Dallas defense, and the great ones. The front office simply must invest in some war machine MLBs if the defense is going to level up.

How can a team overcome a good opponent and calls that give that good opponent an advantage? The complaints on the disparity and timeliness of penalties, are legitimate. How the games are called, does have an effect on the outcomes of these games.

The Ravens LBs were awesome last night. They are a lot like the 49ers in that regard.
Yeah i said that yesterday. Warner and Greenlaw for the 49ers and then the Ravens have Smith and Queen who will hit you in the mouth.

Ravens knew they needed a middle linebacker so they went out and traded the bears some picks for him (last season). Smith is an impact player in that defense.

Meanwhile we just love to sit on our hands and "we like our guys".

Hybrid safeties are just about the worst concept I have seen in Dallas. Not physical enough to defend the run and not fast enough to cover.

I use to ask my team.......What would you prefer to be?.......A donkey.....a racehorse.......or a show pony? Youth always said show pony or racehorse.

What you think?

A show pony......just has to look pretty......the moment a scar or ugly mark shows up......no longer needed and of no use.
A racehorse.......knows only to run fast and make left turns......gets all the good stuff.....extra attention, brushings, fresh water, fresh hay.....so conditioned to the perks, loses sense of self......feels a crack or pull, but continues to run because the perks come to mind. Had they stopped a few steps back......wouldn't need the Vet to come with the needle......it's over.
A mule....works hard, undervalued, and underappreciated. Does all the hard labor and will give you 110% but knows when to tell the farmer......"not today, I'll get back at it tomorrow and it will be 110% again and because I love me some me too."

What you think now?

This sounds like someone who only watches Cowboys games. The calls/non-calls in Cowboys games aren't outliers. It happens multiple times every weekend.

The Chiefs, for example, have the most holding calls on offense while their opponents have the fewest. They're the defending SB champs with the golden boy at QB, and they're getting "screwed" on both sides.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys lead the league in defensive offside and illegal motion penalties. Those are correctable mental errors, not the refs.

You sound like a person void of understanding. What I stated, goes for every team in the league.

Correct.

Dan Quinn is another Rod Marinelli. Soft D.

This team is soft when put to the test on both sides of the ball, and with Micah getting basically lynched every play without any penalties it doesn't help
