We have 4 or 5 guys trying to prove their worth on Thursday...the trouble is it's the last preseason game and it's the Vikings, who have QB and WR issues.

Everybody could look great, but it will be very difficult to evaluate them.

I wonder if any team is looking at a tough cut at CB over the next 2 weeks. If so, we better be on it like white on rice.

More like any team thinking about cutting a CB will be looking to trade him if at all possible. No team cuts a good CB or even just a decent one.

Well that's a blessing IMO.

Any of our CBs that don't look good vs them... is an easy cut.

Well those including me that were in the why don't we draft a corner in the first crowd can at least tell you we told you so. We keep drafting that next great pass rusher, has either Carpenter or Spencer even got within 10 yards of a qb thei season. Wade will be blitzing like crazy cause without it we're in trouble. Our back-ups including Glenn looked feeble/incompetent, lost, pick an adjective. The problem with cbs is that you just can't find them laying around, they are a hot commodity. We'll be getting some waiver wire activity going, bet the farm on it. Aaron Glenn has lost it, it happens to everyone if they play the game long enough, just like it happened to Bledsoe and probably Ellis..

You cannot have a first round draft pick in every position on the team ..... thats not how the NFL works.

I go away to Europe for a week and we lose to the Texans. I knew right then, the sky would be falling here at the Zone. We all the sudden have severe issues at CB. I have no idea whats going on and there is WAY to much dribble spewed out for me to rumage through to catch up. From what I read on ***BANNED-URL***, I doubt this is going to be a serious problem. Athletes can play hurt and Newman probably won't need more that a couple of weeks. (could miss the Giants game, but nothing more than that)

At this point I'm not worried and I still really do not know what happen over the last week or so. Is someone willing to brief me about the last week without the chicken little type opinions?

Newman has a small tear at the bottom of his foot ..... he is probable for the first game.

Basically we didn't try and they did. The same thing that always happens when we lose.

I'm not worried either, I just come here for the rollercoaster ride of hypocrisy, it's great. The Cowboys will be fine, we have plenty of talent, no Parcells trying to make us lose:bang2: and the NFC sucks. Barring injuries, we will be in the NFC Championship game, I see no reason why not.

You must not have understood what he asked for .... he was very clear.

Spencer has come very close a couple of times. At least give him credit for that. I'm tired of this team crashing because one player is lost (See Ellis last season). Others need to step up when there is an inury, no matter what position it is.

As much as it pains me to type this, I'm rather happy that Jones/Lacewell/Ireland are back picking the talent rather than Poorsmells.

I told him all he needs to know from the last week, but thanks for looking out for me mommy.

Your last few posts...

Parcells just got the benefit of the doubt WAY too many times. It was largely b/c he was a Parcells pick that he generated ALL this hype. Heck-if I remember correctly, more pundits than expected said Vinny would get us deep into the playoffs in '04

If Julius had gone to, let's say, the Bears, the Mel Kiper's of the world would be saying "Eh?".

In '04, when Jerry suggested we get a corner in either FA or in the higher rounds of the draft, Parcells instead opted to get that loan officer from the practice squad instead.

Henry is too slow-he would have been a GREAT corner in the 80's/early 90's(when schemes and NFL rules were far different)-but not in today's NFL.

It's not just the secondary, but other positions Parcells undervalued quite a bit(i.e. OL)-which has me throwing in the towel already for this season.

Seriously, there goes our season.

Thank You Bill P for leaving us in THIS bad a shape-remember once upon a time ago, he brought in that loan officer off the practice squad, when Jerry SUGGESTED on getting another corner in FA(or otherwise)?

Wow-Parcells DIDN'T leave us in decent shape at all.

In '04, when Jerry suggested on adding a corner in FA, Parcells ignored him and decided to bring that loan officer off the practice squad instead. Then the year after, he broke the bank on a SLOW corner(Henry), and he didn't do anything in the secondary a year after.

Screw you Bill for leaving us in this shape.

Maybe it's time to think about a new screen name.

Or at least broadening your horizons.

Neither has Ware, and we all know how bad he sucks. Are you ready to toss that wannabe pass rusher too?

You're right, but you also don't spend all you high round picks on de/lbs either, then spend big bucks on free agnets too.

When you are moving to a new system you do until you get the number you need. We had trash in the front seven for the 3 -4 till we drafted Ware.

We already have mutiple 1st round picks in the secondary .... now we have multiple in both.
