Morehouse tackle has Kiper's attention

[UnoDallas]

Harewood, at 6-foot-6 and 353 pounds, certainly has NFL size

One player who has caught Kiper's eye is Morehouse tackle Ramon Harewood.
"I'm a big Harewood fan," Kiper said. "I think he could be a right tackle or he could be a guard."
Harewood, at 6-foot-6 and 353 pounds, certainly has NFL size.
A native of Barbados, he started playing football three years ago. Before that, he was more at home playing cricket, rugby and volleyball

Harewood played for Morehouse the last three seasons. He is a project, but even at his immense size he ran the 40-yard dash in 5.27 seconds on a Decatur, Ga., high school field during his pro-day workout

NFL personnel men love Harewood's massive 6-foot-7, 355-pound frame, and the native of Barbados is a physics and engineering major who wows scouts with his blend of intelligence and physicality. NFL types don't always make it to Morehouse's pro day, but almost 20 teams were represented this year, and they were all there to check out a prospect who projects to either the seventh round or priority free-agent.

sounds interesting

Biggs replacement?

IF (notice the big if) the Cowboys brass are confident in Brewster and Free... I would love to see a couple of "projects" like Harewood, Webb, and Marinelli get picked up in the 6th and 7th rounds.

We could use our top picks to get guys who will provide immediate impact while letting these huge linemen hone their skills for a few seasons on the bench.

Morehouse College offensive tackle Ramon Harewood plays rugby, volleyball, cricket, and football. If that isn’t unusual enough, Harewood grew up in Barbados, and has only been playing football for four years. A future Morehouse assistant coach discovered the 6’7” lineman at a college fair, and finally convinced him to play at Morehouse after Harewood’s first semester at the University of West Indies, where he was studying engineering. He received an academic scholarship, and has lived up to it, garnering a 3.0-plus GPA in applied physics and engineering. After receiving second-team All-SIAC honors as a sophomore, and a first-team pick last fall, he is ready to finish his college career on a high note.
