My best friend Greg passed away today at the young age of 48. He was a die hard Steelers fan and was always very critical of Tony Romo. He used to accuse me of child abuse for making my kids Cowboys fans. I longed for the day when I could get vindication with either a win over the Steelers or a Super Bowl win for the Cowboys. It is sad that now I will never have that chance. Ironically he was a die hard Cowboys fan during the Landry years but switched teams after Jerry Jones fired Landry. The good natured ribbing between him and I will be greatly missed.

Please pray for his family. He has two boys ages 10 and 12 that he absolutely adored and they understandably are having a very hard time right now. He was a great father and a great man. So sad.

Sorry to hear that, man. 48 is too young and is far, far too young to leave behind to young ones.

I found out today that one of the parents of two of my really good childhood friends passed away today.

This on top of losing an aunt, a grandmother and a family acquaintance who has known me since I was born all in the last 2-3 months.

Sucks and just reminds ya to be thankful for every day you get to get up and see the one's you love.

48 is too young. Honor your friend by being there for his boys. They will need you more than you know.

I'm hoping I can help them out in any way I can. I just can't imagine how hard it is going to be for them.

You're a good man to do that. Hang in there, and remember something, the only way to take the sorrow out of death it to take the joy out of life.

May he rest in peace....
I lost my dad when I was nine and my older brother raised me like his son.
I'm 39 now and it is just as painful now as it was then.....
I hope you do all you can to help his sons.
