Alright so here is my bold sports prediction for the summer of 2014... Blake Griffin becomes the next Mavs star player haha. Dirk signed an extension this year untill 2014 which I assume he may retire afterwards or become worth less money. Blake Griffin will also become a free agent in the summer of 2014 as long as the Clippers exercise their team option on him which I assume they will. I don't see Griffin staying in L.A. being shadowed by the Lakers; also, it's the Clippers haha. They do have a good core of young talent there though. I could see him coming to Dallas seeing as he is from Oklahoma. The Thunder would be a good fit but Westbrook and Durant will take up a lot of salary room in the future; I assume they will stay put.

So what do you think of this nonsense? Possible Blake is in Big D?

God I hope not. I'd like him to go for a team I could root for.

Zing nice one.

I'm pulling for the Thunder to win his services.

And just like with Reggie Bush, nobody will care.

That'd be fine... I'd prefer it if he went to San Antonio to win a couple championships with Timmy in his final years. It'd be like re-creating the Timmy/Admiral magic!

i think he will be a clipper for a long time, but if he were to go anywhere, i think it would be oklahoma city. he went to college nearby and most of the core of that team is about his age, they would be absolutely dominant!

But could they afford him? With Westbrook, Durant and all the other young talent that should be there for years would make it awfully hard to clear out space for him similar to the heat. So Dallas is the next closest thing. That's what I was thinking. He could also become a Laker because when Kobe is gone they will most likely get another superstar from somewhere.

LOL no way Griffin stays with the joke of the orginization the Clippers. Clippers suck and always will suck, Griffin is gone in 4 years.

Exactly, they will always be overshadowed by the Lakers and not have as big of a fan base. No superstar wants to be stuck playing for the Clippers.

Haha Griffin choosing Clippers over Lakers would be like someone choosing the Commanders over the Cowboys.

I agree with this also. I do think Auburn will completely lose their title. Bobby Lowder is boostin that team dirty. Just what I think.

you guys saying there is no way he stays with the clippers must not read much about him. his number 1 goal is to turn that franchise around and i think, if he stays healthy, he could acomplish it, at least for a little while. it wouldnt surprise me to see them in the playoffs next year and if they can build on that, who knows, maybe they keep improving. all it takes in the NBA is 1 great player to turn the fortunes of a franchise. just look at the cavs, or look at the mavs before dirk, the nets before kidd, etc

What else is he supposed to say? I can't wait to get out of here? I do think they have a great young core, but you will have a hard time wooing a top FA there because of Donald Sterling's history.

And w/o one more big time player, they won't be championship contenders and eventually Griffin will do what Lamar Odom, Elton Brand and many Clippers before them and bolt.
