I predict that DWare will

lead the league in sacks by the end of the year..

i know he is behind, but he is going to get shots at the dessimated O-lines of the Seahawks, the eagles twice, and the skins twice.. he might have 20 in those games alone!

and with the other guys on our defensive line they can't pay him quite as much attention, Ratliff and Shansky are getting great push, hell, marcus spears is even doing well this season on the pass rush front. and spencer is getting alot of push considering he is taking the TE and the Tackle most times, since we move ware to the side with no tight end.

Yeah, Colin Cowherd was picking Green Bay to beat Minnesota "soundly" this weekend...not sure how they're going to do that unless GB's offensive line suddenly learns how to block. Aaron Rodgers will be running for his life most of the game again, from the likes of Jared Allen.

I agree. I think Ware is more of a freak of nature than the greatest pass rusher around. i.e. someone like John Abraham moves more fluidly and quickly in those tight spaces (spins, change of direction, etc) with more moves is probably a better pure pass rusher and in Wade's schemes he might go completely crazy.

However, Given Ware's run stuffing skills as well as his pass rush (can't really speak about his coverage though I do recall his rookie year preseason when he picked that one pass off on a crossing pattern...whoa) Ware is just the top overall front 7 player in the game.

He still doesn't get the credit he should for his top run defense skills. The best news is it looks like Spencer is getting better so those outside lanes should close in quickly (i hope!)

Ware has made several good plays in pass coverage. The question is why is even used that way? He's good at everything, though.

Let's not put too much pressure on the guy. No one can keep a 20 a year sack pace. I think it might be impossible to get a sack against the Saints because Brees gets the ball out quickly. I said in the beginning of the year that if Ware had 10 sacks that would be a nice year because he will get doubled and tripled all season. We don't have a compliment to him yet. Spencer's good all around player but he's not there yet rushing the qb.
