My boy got schooled in practice last night lol

I love peewee football. My son plays, but this will be his last year before he plays middle school ball.

My son can relate to be a little light in the pants, as he is one of the smallest kids on the team, but fortunately for him he can fly.

Your son looks like no matter what he was giving it 100%. I have seen kids who know they can not win the one on one match up give up.

Yeah he was giving it his all. When we got home I explained to him not to get so low on those big guys. He doesn't need to stand up but he seems to be goin at thier waists. I also showed him a few "tricks" that hopefully won't get him in trouble...lol

We have our first practice tonight. I think I'm more excited than my son is!

I'd take some video, but I'm assistant coaching so that might be tough. :D

We have a full week of non-contact, and then they can start hitting next week!

Yeah last night was thier first night of contact. I see a problem though. They only have 13 kids on the 5th grade team so most of the kids are going to be playing both ways (good thing in my boys mind). I don't see how they are going to scrimage. The 3-4th grade team however has like 50 kids lol

Roy Williams is your son? ;)

Just kidding HG

LOL Actually he can cover and tackle. He is to light in the pants to be playing on the line which is where they have put him for some reason. Youve seen the videos of him catching and running with the ball. His problem is he has cement blocks for feet and is not very fast.

hmmm "too light in the pants" eh?

what a pervert. and you call yourself a father.

When I played peewee they put me on the dline. I was facing oline that were easily double my weight. Of course, I would just run around them. They finally ended up moving me to flanker the next season which is the position I played until I left school.

Flash forward 15 some-odd years and heavyg's son brings up the "light in the pants" comment to investigators as to why he off'd his parent's in one of those grainy, interrogation room videos we see on Dateline all the time.

:p:
