I'm going to give it a whirl with my 53 prediction. I know some of you are probably going to think I've got the brains of a carrot (yum, carrots), but why not? I'm also going to try to predict some PS pieces and give a season prediction. Fun little exercise before I go to bed. Right, let's get on it.
Offense
QB (3)
Dak Prescott
Cooper Rush
Trey Lance
Pretty obvious this. Next!
RB/FB (4)
Pollard
Vaughn
Dowdle
Luepke
I think Dowdle did better in preseason than Davis. As for Luepke, can't cut him. He'll be gone if we do that (also, I liked him in the draft). Davis will be on the PS.
WR/kr (6)
Lamb
Cooks
Gallup
Tolbert
Turpin
Brooks
This was a bit tricky. I think we have a very talented group of WRs. Unfortunately, we can't keep everyone. But, I also think the play of the prospects will force the FO to keep 6. So, that's what I made of the group. Interesting to note that Dennis Houston and Fehoko had roles last season (Dennis had a significant role) and are likely off the team. That's how good our WRs are now. I think Cropper and Durden end up on PS.
TE (3)
Ferguson
Schoonmacher
Hendershot
I think Fant and McKeon go on the PS. I think Luepke means we keep only 3 TEs
Tackle (4)
Tyron Smith
Steele
Richards
Waletsko
I think Ball goes on IR. We are very thin at Tackle, but this is about as good as I think we can do here.
Guard (4)
Zach Martin
Tyler Smith
Edoga or a player not on this roster
Bass
I think we are frighteningly thin at guard. Luckily, Bass looks good. I think that either Edoga will get a spot here, or I could see the FO bringing in someone else
C (2)
Biadisz
Fairniok
This gives our offense 27 players on the active roster.
Defence:
DT (5)
Mazi Smith (NT)
Jonathan Hankins (NT)
Odigazuwa (3T)
Golston (3T)
Fehoko (3T)
I think this is a reasonable breakdown. I think Fehoko can shift to either 3T or DE. I think Gallimore is gone.
DE (4)
Micah Parsons
DLaw
Land
Fowler
I should note that I'm anticipating at least a 2 game ban for Sam Williams for his run in with the law. As such, I think this is a reasonable lineup at DE. I think Land has made himself uncuttable. I think Wheat and Banogu get a trip to the Practice Squad. I have Parsons as a DE, but he can fit as a Lb too. However, for player count and given what he does, I'm listing him as a DE here. At least until Sam Williams returns from his ban.
LB (4)
LVE
Clark
Jefferson
Cox
DO is going to be on IR with his injury, and doesn't count against the roster. I explained the Parsons designation above. I think Cox gets sent to the PS when Sam Williams' ban finishes.
CB (5)
Diggs
Gillmore
Lewis
Scott
Kelvin Joseph
I really wanted to put Nashon Wright in on the spot of Kelvin Joseph. However, Joseph has the Special Teams edge. So, Wright goes to PS. I think he will be joined by Butler and Myles Brooks.
S (5)
Bell
Hooker
Mukuamu
Kearse
Wilson
We are very deep at safety. Who's have thought that a few years ago? Redwine goes to PS.
This gives us 23 on defence and 50 on the roster. Now for the last 3. Special Teams

Aubrey

Anger

Sieg
I think this will be our 53 man roster. As for PS, I think it'll be at least the following:
Davis, Cropper, Durden, McKeon, Fant, Wheat, Banogu, Wright, Butler, Brooks, and Redwine.
As for my prediction for the season, I know the NFL is unpredictable. However, here are factors that I am using. Firstly, no NFC East team has repeated as division champs in nearly 20 years. I think this continues. Also, I think we have a better team than we did last year. Especially at WR. So, here's my division finish prediction and my prediction for where the Cowboys finish the season.
NFC East:
Cowboys 12-5
Eagles 11-6
Giants 10-7
Commanders 8-9
I think it'll be a tight division, but I think we will just about edge out the Eagles by one game. I think we split with Philly and the Giants, and I think we sweep Washington. I think the Cowboys will then go on from the 3rd seed and end up losing in the NFCC to the Rams. I think the Rams have a very good team that will be right there with SFO in their division. I think Stafford wins the QB battle in that division and leads them to the number 1 seed just edging out SFO (who we get revenge against in the division round). I think the Rams go on to beat the Jets (who beat the Chiefs in the AFCC 34-30) in the Super Bowl 27-24.
This was fun to make. What do you all think of my predictions?
