TRADE
Tony Pollard and picks 163 RD5and 245 RD7 to MiamI
Dallas gets picks 77 and 84 both RD3

DRAFT

ROUND1
Trade down with HOU, send pick 26 and Jourdan Lewis
Dallas gets picks 33(RD2) and 73(RD3)picks

ROUND2(HOU)
JAHMYR GIBBS RB BAMA
Dallas drafts Pollards replacement. Probably the most explosive guy in this draft. Like when Pollard was drafted Gibbs is going to have to add size because he doesn't run like a small back.

ROUND2
CALIJAH KANCEY DT PITT
Built like Donald, guess pitt has a thing for these type of dt. He wins more with his hands and speed rather than just going thru people like Donald. I could def see this pick happening. He's better than Osa.

ROUND3(HOU)
STEVE AVILA G TCU
Big, mean, and strong. Does very well with big power DTs in run blocking. Not at his best when asked to move vertically but doesn't struggle. Think he'd beat out Turner but would learn from Turner so it's a win-win

ROUND3(MIA)
JAYLON JONES CB TEXAS AM
Tall, long Cb Quinn loves, and physical. He's not overly fast but his movement just make it look smooth.

ROUND3(MIA)
TYRIQUE STEVENSON CB THE U
Another long CB, the length he has is crazy. He plays smart and loves to tackle. He reminds me of a tall Jourdan Lewis. Building a deep CB core could make a Diggs trade possible.

ROUND3
TREY PALMER WR NEBRASKA
The speed and ability to hit the defense deep. A guy you can move all over and let him find open space.

ROUND4
LACHLAN PITTS TE WILLIAM&MARY
Did play against inferior talent so the game might be too big for him then it might not. But teams are looking at him. So Dallas might have to reach a little for him.

ROUND5 COMP
KENDRE MILLER RB TCU
Patient, and powerful. Runs with Josh Jacobs intentions.

I don’t think that trade for Pollard is realistic.
Why? Dare you to look at Pollard and McCaffery numbers from this yr and look at what sf got. You tell me again if it's realistic

Contract status. The 49ers traded for McCaffery and got him on a contract that is a flat $12M per year for 3 years with 0 of it guaranteed. The team that trades for Pollard is going to be on the hook for a huge contract extension that includes $30M(ish) guaranteed. Could be wrong, but I don’t see teams looking to trade picks just for the right to sign an RB to a huge extension. They would just save the picks and sign Jacobs or Saquon

Pretty good. I like the idea of the trade down. Did a mock recently where we traded with PIT from 26 to 32 (Bijan still on the board) and got their #80. Picked Gibbs at 32, Joe Tippmann at 58, then a CB and Andrei Iosivas in the 3rd.

Actually they will get him for 10.1 1 yr deal and can extend him. They can use that's 10.1 as a signing bonus. Don't over complicate things.

Oh yeah did I mention pollards one of thehottest rb in the nfl he has value over rookies. The guy basically has 1 yr of wear and tear. He out produced McCaffery in terms of production per touch

Gibbs and Avila are going a round earlier than what you have them going.
Idc, I don't factor in other people's mocks when doing mine. I go by draft grades and sites like cbs prospect rankings.

Cbs draft rankings
The draft network
Nfl.com draft grades
Walter football

I get alot better results, and have made me look like I know what I'm talking bout(lol) with picking guys like Dak in the exact round. From as early as the SR bowl

We as fans always try to put our own wants into mocks. I don't unless I post it. This mock and what I'd actually want is different, he'll my FA would consist of 2 guys, Payne and Crosby. And run the draft to get the rest.

You hit on all our weaknesses the issue is Pollard is coming off an injury. Miami would be smarter to just draft running backs with the picks they traded.

Why? Dare you to look at Pollard and McCaffery numbers from this yr and look at what sf got. You tell me again if it's realistic
Pollard’s one year part time production does not stack up to McCaffrey’s career but also it comes down to circumstances.

  • McCaffrey had a 3 year deal that’s favorable to the 49ers and Pollard only has 1 year (franchise tag).
  • 49ers we’re in win now mode with limited options on the market mid-season to make a real impact.
  • Free Agency and the draft are loaded with good options.
  • Pollard has a broken leg
  • With the franchise tag you are maybe getting a 2m discount on Pollard’s value, you don’t trade two 3rds for a 2m discount on a 1 year deal.

You can look at the numbers all you want but Pollard isn't thought of in the same class as McCaffery. Perception matters and McCaffery is viewed as much better TB than Pollard in league circles. Put it this way. Look at the contract McCaffery signed. Do you think Pollard would command that kind of contract on the open market? Not likely. Why? Because he's not viewed in the same class.

And why would Houston want Lewis? They can find CBs for cheaper in FA. Frankly, Houston could probably get Lewis later as he might be cut by Dallas.

I do like some of the FA signings. Trai Turner would definitely help inside, even if it was as a depth guy if they slid Tyler back to OG if Steele and Tyron eventually are the starting OTs.

Clueless. You guys need to stop looking at names on jerseys. Its laughable you think McCaffery us much better than Pollard. For that ur blocked.

LOL.

You blocked me because I (and most people) don’t think the NFL views Pollard in the same class as McCaffery?

He’s right. McCaffery’s current contract the 49ers acquired is a great contract and gives the 49ers tons of flexibility, something a team acquiring Pollard wouldn’t have.

As he said any team acquiring Pollard either has to sign him to a new deal with a bunch of guaranteed dollars or let him walk after a year if they can’t get a deal (or tag him twice which would be expensive).

That fact alone depresses his value compared to a guy like McCaffery.

Appreciate the work, but I think your draft slotting is too good. Both Gibbs/Kancey are more 1st rd prospects, all your 3rd rd picks are probably taken in the prior round.
