Mazi Smith

Foremost there is that Payne level strength. Ive seen Payne consistently push pre illness Frederick back into the pocket. Smith has that level of power. For a big DT, he has the agility to move with the LOS on stretch plays. That is something that killed us with Bohanna. Its why I tend to prefer 1T's in the 315 to 325 pound range over the behemoths. Smith could be the best of both worlds.

Luke Schoonmaker

Very rounded TE. His blocking has gotten the talk as far as his positives, however as a receiver he can be moved around. He can play inline or as a move TE. NFL.com gave him a comp of Dawson Knox. Living in WNY I see alot of Knox, I can see the comparison but I think Schoonmaker is a plus version of that.

DeMarvion Overshown

Overshown is a ascending player that will keep getting better in the pro's. His diagnostic skills improved significantly in 2022 and put him on the map as a potential starting caliber NFL player. In Overshown, we are getting a very good coverage and is an excellent sideline to sideline LB. If he can get better playing through traffic, I think he could be a top 10 offball LB

Good reviews! All 3 make the Cowboys better and weren't overdrafted like many have said.

Many internet draft gurus have questioned these picks. I trust McClay more.

Funny we need Offensive weapons galore and we keep drafting defense. I’m fine with it.

In McClay we trust, remember?

You have to give these guys a chance. Just dumping on a pick because you don't know anything about him or your pet cat didn't get drafted isn't accomplishing anything. There are specific reasons why the teams pass on players. There are specific reasons why teams like players. We aren't privy to that information. So until we see these guys on the field a couple of years, continually dumping on them simply won't do any good.
