I will post another mock after the combine. This mock is also based on Jenkins, McKelvin and Cromartie are off the board at pick#22.

#22nd pick we trade to Detroit for Roy Williams

#28 pick we trade down with Atlanta for there #37 and #48. They want to secure there QB of the future in Flacco or Henne so they are willing to lose points on this deal.

#37th pick we take Antoine Cason

#48th pick we take Ray Rice,

I doubt Dallas will be looking to draft the QB of the future this year on the first day of the draft. Romo is still young and barring injury should be a starter for several years. Jerry won't be caught without a development QB like he did when Aikman ended his playing days, but it is just a bit early to be looking at the QB of the future. Maybe the 2009 draft and most definitly the 2010 draft. Right now using a first day pick isn't a great investment unless you can later get some trade value for the QB drafted. They will unlikely see extensive playing time in Dallas. A second day QB is a better investment this year.

You need to re-read his draft. He was not talking about the future QB in Dallas.

I may have confused you. We would trade down with Atlanta for both of their second rders. They would move up for a QB. My bad on the display. It didn't come out like I wanted.

While I like the first three players, I highly doubt Cason or Rice are still there where you have them going. After that, I don't really care for this mock. I'm not as sold on Wheeler as many people seem to be.

I like the mock in your sig better. Assuming we don't make trades.

I kind of agree with Cason not being there but for some reason he is fallin off of guys board like Kiper and Mcshay. If he isn't there we could take Porter there.

I understand now. Just rushed through while reading it.

i like it except for the ray rice pick.

Are you serious? You wouldn't approve of Ray Rice at 48? That would likely be one of the biggest steals in the draft.

I personally don't like the idea of trading down in this draft in order to secure more picks. Not many rookies are going to make this team. We need to make sure we get quality this year rather than quantity. We need players that can help in certain area immediately (i.e. speed RB, speed WR, and Corners). No need to draft a bunch of players that won't make the team. That's just a waste of picks. Leave that strategy for the bottom feeders like Miami, Atlanta, and Washington (;) ).

I like your picks. I just don't think they'll be taken where you suggest.

I will make another after the combine but the more I look at it I think you guys are right. Like Eddie Royal will more than likely go in the 3rd and Cason won't last that long. Steve Justice will go sooner. You never know though. Back to the drawing board.
