My son's football team has completed their season. His team went 10-0 and won the Super Bowl. He plays in a Select Football League here in the Dallas area.

He is almost always the smallest player on the field, but he does not play like he is the smallest. Very proud of him!

Here are a few of his highlights for the year:

BTW the song was his choice. :)

its sad because he is way beyond out safeties at this moment. Those other kids look like giants, but your son makes up for it with his reaction time lol

Although I played LB/Dline on defense growing up, I always made it on the interception highlights, not because I didn't have any, but I was always the lead blocker on the sidelines throwing the killer blocks on the QB's like the few guys on your son's team!! He has a ton of heart being one of the smallest kids on the field there, and showing no fear watching the ball in the air and making the plays..Hopefully his team stays that successful too!

There was some killer blocks on that first INT! It was awesome. I am quite sure everyone within a two mile radius heard me screaming on that play. LOL

Nice

CCF jr plays hockey and has six goals so far this year.

All those power skating lessons, hockey camps, adult and tot hockey/skating we go to etc are starting to pay off.

I think I cheered louder for his goal on Sunday night than for a Cowboys TD earlier in the day.

I can relate to that! There is nothing like watching your own kids out on the field (or ice :D )

My son played for the first time this year.

He barely made weight for eight year olds (59.5 pounds), but played well. He started every game at WR. He scored a TD on a WR screen.....broke a couple of tackles and took it to the house.

He also backed up the QB. Our QB got leveled one game, and my son goes under center....His mom was nervous after what just happened to the other kid.

Fortunately, he just handed off a couple of times until the other kid came in. My son actually has a rocket arm....if he gets a little bigger, he'll probably be QB next year.

Very cool.

I coached my son this year in the 3rd/4th grade league and we made it to the Semis. Definitely our best year yet.

Our highlight was a triple overtime win in the quarterfinals!

I'd encourage you guys to coach while you can!

I coached the 8th grade football team at my HS after I graduated and had a blast. I think I liked it almost as much I did playing.

Be involved with your kids sports!
