1a. Jonathan Stewart (RB)
College: Oregon Height: 5-10 Weight: 235

I'm a big Barber fan, and am one of those people that don't believe we need a RB in the first, but how can you pass up on this guy if he's there? He's built like a sledgehammer, and combined with Barber, opposing defenses would get no rest.

1b. James Hardy (WR)
College: Indiana Height: 6-6 Weight: 217

Big, athletic, physical and faster than advertised. Needs some time to develop, but has all the physical tools to be a team-groomed #1 receiver. I think he may get picked earlier than a lot of people expect, probably won't make it out of the first round.

2. Tracy Porter (CB)

College: Indiana Height: 5-11 Weight: 188

A quick, capable corner with good ball skills that needs to become more physical. He's a good cover guy, and has the speed to recover and stay with just about anyone in the NFL. Even if we grab Pacman and it's disastrous, all we really need is a #3 that can step into #2 as long as we have Newman, so I'm willing to sacrifice

3. Kendall Langford (DE)
College: Hampton Height: 6-6 Weight: 287

Big, strong DE. One of the few DE's in this draft that could play end in the 3-4. I like him because he's stout against the run, but he's no slouch when it comes to rushing the QB either with 24.5 sacks in his four year collegiate career. Can be worked into our rotation immediately, and eventually take over if we lose either Spears or Canty.

4. Frank Okam (NT)
College: Texas Height: 6-5 Weight: 347

Wade sees his chance to get a Jamal Williams type NT and takes it. Has the size and strength to be a true NT in the 3-4, which would perhaps allow Ratliff to move to DE. If he were an elite prospect though, he wouldn't be available in the 4th round, so he will need some work.

5. Brandon Keith (OG/OT)
College: Northern Iowa Height: 6-5 Weight: 343

A bull dozer that reminds me a little of Leonard Davis, although he's not nearly as elite a prospect. Needs lots of work, but certainly has the size and athleticism to play RT or guard for us. Has character concerns, however, so the 'Boys would need to do their homework.

6. Traded to the Titans for Pacman

7. Bernard Morris (QB) or Kyle Wright (QB)

Basically a project QB, Morris probably won't be available by Wright might. There are a couple of guys that could go in this spot.

Comments aren't just welcome, they're mandatory! ;)

Actually, what is the deal with F Okam?

Is it that he lacks the desire? At one stage a couple months ago he was talked about as a Day 1 pick.

change your 5th to C/G McDuffie of Clemson and your QB to Paul Smith and I can live with your Mock....

lol thats funny

I have some doubts about stewart but i like this mock you got a lot of our needs and some good players. Okam is skeptial because he doesn't go hard every play i used to be high on him.

Don't know much about those guys, I'll look into them.

Oh and Okam was indeed once seen as a 1st day selection, but they said he's a little lazy and inconsistent. Some are projecting he's slipped to as late as the 5th round, but I'm getting he could go as early as the late 2nd or early 3rd round.

I really dont get all the Paul Smith love in here...the guy couldnt break a pane of glass from 10 feet, let alone make the kinf of throws this offensive needs to have success

David

I'd be okay with that on draft day, but jmo, even if it's a 7th, you're waisting a draft pick on kyle wright.

and fwiw, james hardy won't be there at 28

hardy needs a lot of work. for a kid his size he shouldn't have as much trouble as he does getting off the line when corners press him. he's also real lazy with the ball holding it with one hand a lot.

He probably holds it with one hand because he's got large hands. Crayton does that crap a lot, and I hate it, but he doesn't seem to ever fumble it.

He also hasn't been playing the position for as long as most of the other guys, so he definitely has some learning to do, but we're now attempting to convert our second college QB to WR in a couple of years, so I don't think the team is scared of that particular challenge.

Crayton doesn't fumble a lot but he did fumble in the Vikes game this last season. I can't remember, off hand though, if that was because he was holding that ball out there like a loaf of bread or not.

I love the 1st round picks!
Might have to pick Hardy 1st though and hope Stewart falls to #28.
2. Tracy Porter (CB)
College: Indiana Height: 5-11 Weight: 188

Don't think h'ell last this long, but would be a good pick, although I don't really like him AT ALL.

into #2 as long as we have Newman, so I'm willing to sacrifice

3. Kendall Langford (DE)
College: Hampton Height: 6-6 Weight: 287

I really like him a lot in the 3rd!

4. Frank Okam (NT)
College: Texas Height: 6-5 Weight: 347

I don't think we can afford to pick TWO D-lineman, we barely have enough room on the D-line as it is, add Langford and there's not much room left.
We got Hatcher and Canty on one D.E. spot, Ratliff and Tank in the N.T. and Spears/Langford at the other D.E. spot, and I'm pretty sure we're only gonna keep 6 D-lineman, and we stil have Bowen in the mix too, BUT I like Okam in round 4 if we can motivate his lazy ***!

5. Brandon Keith (OG/OT)
College: Northern Iowa Height: 6-5 Weight: 343

I like him a lot!

7. Bernard Morris (QB) or Kyle Wright (QB)

7th rounder so I don't care who you pick here!
Very good mock though, FINALLY one person here actually got the rounds correct on all his picks, and didn't have someone ranked in round 2 going in round 6 and vice versa, so good job on that one!
