-I think the key to making a serious title is mimicking the 2014 offense. Our OL isnt as good, but with the improvements Steele and Biadasz made I think with a key addition they could be a good ball control line. With that in mind I'm zeroing in on Broderick Jones.

- I feel better about the run defense than I did this time last year. They did very well against SF, and this SF team had McCaffrey. Hankins is a difference maker in the run game, and he played on the league minimum (or close to). He needs to be back. DT should still be on the first round menu. With Hill washing out and the fact they tried to trade Gallimore at the deadline, we are very thin there.

- We may have the worst 2-6 WR's in the league right now. I get Gallup is coming off of injury, but he shouldn't have been that bad. Brown played admirably, but he is still a ST player. This could be addressed in the first round, but I wouldnt wait. If Im them, Id look for a move like KC made with JuJu last year

- The fact that they brought in so many veteran CB's with day 1 or 2 pedigrees late in the season doesnt speak well to their faith in Joseph or Wright. I think they should feel comfortable with Bland as their #2 CB, but I expect them to make a move on someone thag can compete with Lewis.

- Donovan Wilson is a guy to watch this offseason. I believe we should bring him. I think he isna catalytic player on the defense. However he isnt going to be cheap either. If he leaves, I can see Mukuamu taking his place. Different players, but both are S with CB experience that can give you some man coverage ability at the SS position. Mukuamu has the size and length to man up TE's. I could also see Mukuamu replacing Hooker next year if Wilson is brought back

- Im on the fence with a Pollard extension. On one hand HB isnt really a position you want to pay. On the other, if we do take up my idea and go with a 2014 philosophy, you do need talent there. Pollard does have alot of tread left, so I don't think an extension would age as poorly as Elliotts. Ive compared him to Alex Jones as a back, snd Jones contract has aged well.

- I like Shultz as a player, but I dont he bring enough to the table to pay 8 figures per. I think if we improve at WR, we can do well with a combination of Ferguson and Hendershot at TE.

-Prescott needs to go into the offseason feeling pressure. His SF game was abysmal, and his turnovers throughout the season were very concerning. A similar season, and he has to feel the FO will re evaluate whether or not he is the guy beyond his current deal

-Damone Clark is a key guy for us next year. His play this year was uneven at best, but thats to be expected. If he can take a step up next season, that would be big for us

Defense should be better next year if Quinn stays, lotta guys to develop (Clark/Williams/Bland).
Id tag Wilson and work out a deal with Pollard, his injury may even help Cap boy work out a deal for him like Gallup.

Id definitely still get a DT or CB in the draft still, but i wouldnt mind a WR too. Id like to take a QB somewhat early to build under Daks stay here.

Our oline is a bit of an enigma, our pass blocking was near top of the league, but our run blocking at times was terrible, not sure if it was the oline shifting around a lot due to injury/new faces, but hope they fix it up cause it seems we have a solid line.

I think KJ may stay as a solid STer and Wright hopefully gets a little smarter on the field.

Steele tore an ACL and MCL in december
Not sure he starts the season ready to play
MCGovern is gone
If we are gonna get better on the oline we will need additions and with the cap situation that’s not coming from FA

He is expected to be back by TC I believe. I think because its a full tear the recovery wont be as long

At the top of your list should have been...TRADE .....PRESCOT! He is a fundamentally flawed player who isn't going to get any better. He has to have EVERYTHING PERFECT for him to deliver and that's just not going to happen in today's NFL! Personally, Cowboy Nation is SICK and TIRED of Dakota "WENTZ 2.0" Prescot standing at the podium at the end of losses explaining to everyone that he played bad again and has to get better! He's NEVER going to be THAT QB! After watching the LAST PLAYER taken in the 2022 NFL DRAFT out play our 7 yrs slap, it's apparent that there are better QBs to be had at a friction of the costs and with that Prescot has to go..................

I believe Dallas should burn their tags, and go in with the idea that if we can't sign them, then we don't need them..................Both sides need to want to get it done, without the -- I can just tag --- well if you'd tag, I am a top 3 player, and you need to over pay.........

No trade clause, big contract, and you made a great case for why no one would want to trade for him.

Couple of comments/my own opinions:

-WR has to be upgraded, the passing offense was just Lamb/Shultz and Brown for the entire season, that's no good enough.
-What to do with Shultz? Huge part of our passing game, prospects still need development. Could add another in the draft if Shultz departs
-Have to figure out the rb room? It appears Zeke has to go, will they keep Pollard? Once again another area for the draft.
-Think Quinn preferred Bland inside, rather on the boundary. Lewis has an out in his contract. Think at worst, they add a bridge, veteran or resign Brown.
-Both Lve, Hankins need to be resigned. Think they will move on from Wilson as they have several prospects behind him.
-My priority in the offseason would be at DT, CB and WR and find a way to resign a few of our in-house fa's.

If full tears heal quicker then why don't they just tear it completely in the operating room?

Who knows. Who cares. We still have Dak as our quarterback so it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

Bland playing inside makes much easier to find a 3rd CB. CB's that can play the slot are much harder to find than CB's that play the boundry. No reason why Bland cant play boundry on run downs

They will probably going to either resign Brown or another bridge starter and draft another high corner. Cannot see either Joseph or Wright becoming that starter. Perfect world you pair up with Diggs with more of a speed type.

Draft/Trade/FA a good fatty on both lines. Then, go get another corner, linebacker and a WR.

After a day spent compartmentalizing my frustration with Dak's ineptitude, it occurs to me that the game last night was really over when Pollard went down. Even if we'd managed to pull a win out against SF, we'd have had no chance next week at Philly without Tony. In the end, it doesn't matter. Bad luck, bad karma, bad contracts...whatever it is...it wasn't our year. Again.

I don't see them resigning Brown. His injury was late in the season, and thats a tough recovery for a CB. Bland is going to be there #2 next season. What that need to be looking for is someone to play the boundry on sub packages

My preference would be to get rid of Dak but that ain’t happening

No real OC will come here to take on Dak and be scapegoated

What we can do

1. Sign Payne at DT, resign Hankins and sign LVE. Barr walks
2. Sign vet WR with speed
3. Draft CB, DE, OL in rds 1-3 based on value
4. Trade Diggs for rd 1 pick and draft another CB with that pick. This draft is deep at CB. You cannot build a physical team with Diggs and we will need to be physical to beat niners and Philly in playoffs
5. Schultz walks and we draft a TE or sign another vet
