My Uncle Passed Away This Week

My 90+ Uncle and WW2 veteran and hero passed away this week. A real stand up person. Any Allied veteran is a hero in my eyes.

The 1st funeral on my Dad's side I could not attend.

The last few days have been horrible...

Sorry for your loss. It always harder when it happens near the holidays. Your family lost a hero. We all lost a hero when he passed. They truly were the greatest generation and set the bar high for us to live up to. I'll have a beer in his honor.

Sorry to hear, it sucks. I lost my uncle on Christmas day 10 years ago flying his own plane that he built. The guy was a fighter pilot in the Navy and knew it all but not that day....a wind gust hit the plane and crashed upside down

Yea, took him five years on and off. He was a retired Vietnam vet and wanted something to do to keep busy. He did indeed go out like he always said and wanted.
