Mythbusters accident

Is there some myth that states cannons are effective at firing non-cannonball objects?

I guess they're running out of myths.

It's not a myth. If you stuff graham cracker, chocolate, and marshmellows in one and fire it, you get s'mores topping. ;)

They have always been very liberal with the term "myth". They seem to spend a lot of times debunking Hollywood stunts more than pure myths. I thought they did something similar to this myth already. In one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies they filled the cannons with a bunch of loose items. They used forks, chains and the like. I could of swore they did the same thing on Mythbusters.

I remember hearing about Captain Hornblower or John Paul Jones ??
In the middle of a battle ran out of ammo and continued to fight using cheese from the cargo as ammo. Some one can Google it and get back to us with the outcome.;)

They already did a show with that one. They were actually able to shoot a harder cheese from a canon.

Holy hell, how much umph did they put behind that thing?

Luckily no one was hurt. I figured sooner or later something like this, or worse, was going to happen with them doing these things.

As long as no one was hurt then the show, or them personally or whatever, can pay for the damage and move on.
