1.OG Charles Spencer -Pitt- 6'4 342 - Big/strong/nasty/pretty good mobility
2.OG Kevin Boothe -Cornell- 6'4 316 Agressive blocker/powerful and agile + mean.
3. OG Rob Smith -Tennessee- 6'2 311 - Another strong guy with good footwork.

Just to throw out a name - Rob Sims, OG, Ohio State

Good athlete who played both Guard and Tackle in College and could play either position at the next level. He should at the least be a very capable swingman.

The pro fascination with recent Pitt linemen continues to baffle me. Tyler Palko has been battered beyond recognition the past two years. The team has struggled offensively since Wannstache took over - trying to run a Bill Parcells style smashmouth offense. I recognize that bad teams can have good individual talent, but usually a first day offensive lineman can be considered the "go to guy" when deciding where to run or slide pass protection away from. I've yet to see much evidence that Pitt has that anywhere on their line.

Count me in for another guard prospect unless it is another late second day flyer.

Actually, I think that's who I was picking. I think I made a typo, I'll check.

I think that's a bit of a reach for him.

I think Joseph is the best of the bunch he had a good combine and was shuffled all over the place last year. The year before he graded out even better than Jammal Brown according to Kevin Wilson. He has Will Shields written all over him.

I think only MJG is guaranteed to be gone by the third; Here are my favorite Day One guards in order:

  1. MJG
  2. Boothe
  3. Joseph
  4. Lutui
  5. Spencer
  6. Spitz

He could be the best of the whole guard bunch.
