Willie Harvey Jr the UFL alum has added to the LB room in a positive way in Oxnard according to the feedback I’ve heard. Along with Damone Clark plus Overshown from last yrs draft and the Notre Dame 3rd rounder out of this past draft Liufau that’s a decent nucleus to build on .

Parons has dropped in coverage more under Zim and then the vet Kendrick’s who’s battling a back in camp and LB has the potential to be vastly improved over the Marquise Bell experiment out of necessity and last year issues.

Let’s face it if teams can run the ball down your throat the QB is in for a huge afternoon against you . ( Green Bay ) . That has to change.

Good, we need all the help we can get at LBer and stopping the run. It would be a huge blessing if this pans out. Looking forward to keeping an eye on him when preseason games start.

Yep. I’ve heard some others say he looked good so far. We will be good again. Not sure why so many have given up this year as opposed to all the other years we didn’t win it all.

This D roster is one of the best we’ve had since…it’s been a long time. The D will be very good.

On offense we were one of the best last year and I expect the same.

I luv this players tenacity and the way he instinctually plays. Hes a thumper. When he reads the play,hits his gap he drops the ball carrier right there where he hits a player. Very physical style. I am not worried about the defense behind the front 4. Where my concern is,IS the front 4. I still dont see us being big enough, stout enough, at the point of attack in the trenches. We clearly need a couple guys to add to the dline room. We can be a very good defense if we can go get somebody to sure up the 5 tech and 1 TECH. Counting on rookies to walk in here and giving us what we need isn't a smart way to go. I see Will McClay adding to the room.

I've been saying for a long time the LB's will be a strength of this team. Watching the UFL, Harvey was one of those who looked like a NFL player. I was thrilled when the Cowboys signed him.

This is exactly my concern. Even when we invest high draft capital in a DT, we can’t seem to get a decent run stuffer.

My conspiracy theory is that the Joneses are looking at next year. No real FAs. They have no intention of signing Dak. They are looking at Shedeur and Prime to bring the hype back next year

The Cowboys haven't had that great of DT play for years. Jay Ratliff is about the only one as a NT and his calling card was more of one that could pass rush a little. Mazi has the physical ability to do it. They can always pick someone off of waivers. I remember the early years of Jimmy and he brought in Willie Broughton who had played for him at Miami. He was decent but nothing special. They can surely find another Willie Broughton if they need to.
