The X-marks the spot buildup for the Thursday night kickoff to the 2010 NFL season with the Minnesota Vikings at the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints has been ramped up.
Not in a good way.
Originally, Saints safety Darren Sharper, the former Viking, said X would mark the spot for Brett Favre’s ankle after surgery. He suggested the Saints would be gunning for Favre and his surgically repaired ankle.
Now, Vikings tight end Visanthe Shiancoe has responded. He went target shooting and used an oversized photo of Osama bin Laden to make his point. The number 42 – Sharper’s uniform number – is scrawled across the chest. A big quote next to his face reads, “I’m Darren Sharper.” Want to see for yourself, check out Shiancoe’s Twitter account. Shiancoe riddled the target with bullet holes

Fun and games is one thing. Comparing Sharper to an international terrorist is quite another thing.
