I never understood all the hate for Notre Dame. They're just not relevant enough to hate. It's like hating the Detroit Lions or the LA Clippers.big dog cowboy;3641317 said:There are really only a very few college teams I root for. One is most is certainly whoever is playing the Fighting Irish.
My hate started when Tucson invited them to play in the Copper Bowl and the turned us own saying "they do not play in minor bowls." The very next year and ever since they have played in minor bowls.Rogah;3641341 said:I never understood all the hate for Notre Dame. They're just not relevant enough to hate. This are the comments that confuse me. What exactly does this even mean? I just don't see anything Notre Dame is doing that we don't also see from Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan, USC, Ohio State, Alabama, etc, etc. Was Nebraska "greedy" to bolt the Big 12? Is Texas "greedy" for their wanting to have their own TV deal? Was USC "greedy" when they decided to have a bunch of professional athletes play for them over the past 10 years?nyc;3643706 said:I hate Notre Dame and love it when they lose. It all has to do with ego and greed that they selfishly put on display.
Those service academy athletes are the cream of the crop. I cannot imagine the work they do just as students, then the work they put in as athletes. We are all in safe hands with those young men being the future of our armed forces.tomson75;3643770 said:Navy kicks ***....I'm bummed their going to give up the Governor's cup this year, but still proud of that team.
Soon, those boys will be commanding billions of dollars worth of our country's defense budget...and serving us proudly.
Oh yeah...... Navy >>>>> CanadianCF
...and it's not close.

Not the mention that Navy owns Army for about a decade now! 2nd Saturday in December is the one day of the year I hate the kids at West Point! :laugh2:
