They think they're being clever... They probably wanted to do this long ago, but didn't want to deal with the fallout from being accused of being anti-religion. This has been going on for years. Reggie Bush did it at USC, and I'm sure he wasn't the first. The NCAA doesn't do anything about it until Tebow graduates.
