Need a few Beta readers

Just about done with my novel, maybe a few more weeks to knock out the last few chapters. I need some folks who have an interest in reading and in reading a Clancy-esque military based novel that leans towards Clive Cussler's style of writing.

You have to be at least 18.

I'll ask for a little bit of feedback that can be as simple as "meh, lost me in chapter Y", "beginning of chapter 10 turned me off", "jargon was hard to follow and got bored with it", "hard to follow in spots", "writing was overly simplistic", etc.

basically, if you think it's not good enough to recommend to someone else to read I want to know why so I can improve it before I send it out for agent queries.

Wow! That's a quick set of responses I wasn't expecting. Thanks y'all. I just now finished off Chapter 24. It might go to 31. Really trying to keep it under 125K words which I why I'm chopping what I thought was the first novel into two parts.

Still fleshing out a bit how this one ends. Weird that I know exactly how the third novel will finish (and the title of it), but I have a little issue bringing this one together due to the chop job.

EDIT: Looks like 29, but man oh man is 25 going to be a nasty one to write. Way out of my element on some of it.

Im interested. 18 in less than a month. I love reading good books that you can picture whats going on, bad books lose me pretty quick however.

It's definitely not as technical as Clancy is, but then again he created the genre. He's got information in his novels that shouldn't be running around in print.

Just tell me you have no issues killing on characters. :laugh2:

There are worse things you can do to characters than kill them.
