These are the first 20 picks. I was gonna take Cason if he was there, but that bunghole took him at #20.

I think it's too early for Ray Rice and I'm not impressed with Mendenhall as much as some of you are (you all must be staring at his arms or something).

Oh, and don't recommend a WR cuz it ain't gonna happen (in this mock or in real life).

What do you think? Another LB? DL? OL? Help me out here, people...

Wow, CB appears to be the must have position this year, even though much better talent is on the board at the time. How a player like Dan Connor could still be sitting on the board eludes me. Too bad we almost have a glut at the position. If you can't trade down, maybe take Jeff Otah.

Curtis Lofton or Dan O'Connor. Hadn't counted on 5 CBs being gone.

Agib Talib

If off the board. If not, I wouldn't have needed to ask for help cuz I would be drafting him. :D

This doesn't help you Rack, but with Woodson still on the board maybe we can get Atlanta to do a trade for Woodson for a 2(08) and a 1(09).

Tracy Porter-cb and Kenny Phillips-s are still available. I don't see anyone beating out one of our starters. Kentwin Balmer DT, but we have so many DTs.

Desean Jackson, WR, California would be my 1st option.

Felix Jones, RB, Arkansas would be my 2nd option or I'd flip a coin about Mendenhall.

Well, aside from Mendenhall and the WRs, I think the pick with the most value is probably

K Phillips. Though if we re-sign Hamlin, not sure where we use him. (unless Hamlin plays SS and Phillips plays FS, but I doubt we do that)

Other than Phillips, I'd consider

F Jones at RB, followed by

J Otah at OT.

The shocker pick could be P Merling at DE. I think he could play 3-4 OLB, but we already have Ellis, Ware, and Spencer. But if we want another pass rusher . . . .

Pick #13 by Carolina.

Arrrggg . . . . missed that.

I guess I would probably consider D Jackson at 22 if the draft fell this way, though Rack doesn't want a WR.

And depending on what we do with Flo, I'd also consider Otah and F Jones at RB.

Definitely the worst scenario you (or we!) could have hoped for.

Ryan looks to be the only QB taken.

How a Brady Quinn Part II scenario where we offer the pick up for a team needing a QB?

Either that or put aside your personal bias and take Mendenhall or Manningham?

I'm not sold on Mendenhall or Manningham. It has nothing to do with bias, I just don't see them worthy of first round picks. Maybe Mendenhall, but not with #22.

I don't want to draft a CB now just for need, cuz the value isn't there. All the worthy ones are already gone (how Talib went #7 I'll never know).

I want to trade down, but so far I have no takers.

I would try and find a trade down partner. Try the guy in Atlanta and see if he wants to move up for a QB. If not I would take Desean Jackson, James Hardy or Mendenhall(because of the value).

Maybe bias was a bad choice of words. I was referring to your original post stating that you weren't crazy about Mendenhall and didn't want a receiver.

The draft went about as poorly as you could have hoped for.

I agree that a CB would probably be a reach at #22 given who's left.

Jesus, those people like corners, don't they? I really hope it doesn't fall this way.

Mendenhall would be the best value by far.

I'm just no sold on him at all. I have another RB in mind later on. What about Early Doucet? If I HAVE to take a WR and one of them is worth the pick, I guess I'll do it.
