Need help concussion proof helmet

I have a idea for helmet that may prevent concussions.
I don't know who makes NFL
Helmet, or college, hs etc.
Is it riddell?
Should I contact them, or try
To get investors?
Also no patent, so how can
I tell about idea, and somebody takes it and I get
Nothing,?
Appreciate any advice you may have.

Get it documented and get to a patent attorney.

First, take the idea that you have, time ID it - like with a dated newspaper, put it in a sealed envelope and mail it to yourself - and dont open it. This is called a poor mans copyright.

Contact an attorney - your local BAR association can provide you with a reference to an attorney who deals with this type of law. Consult them on the next best step. If that all goes well, you might get a meeting with Riddell where they will reject it, - and based on info from a friend - wait for them to steal your idea and then sue them.

Do a poor mans patent.

Fully document and write down all of your ideas for your helmet. Seel it in a a secure envelope and certify mail it to yourself.

Keep the letter and don’t open it.

Don't call it a concussion proof helmet. The first person that gets a concussion wearing said helmet will just sue you.
