I can not remember the name of the movie and was hoping someone might know it.

I don't remember a great deal about it but I think it was made in the 80's.
It was a comedy.

There was a scene towards the end of the movie where they are up in a lighthouse and dead people, ghosts or zombies were trying to get into the top room. They were trying to push up the trap door. The people in the room took something that had a weight number on it and changed the number so it looked heavier to try and help block the door. Then at one point a character or two jumped up and started singing the old 50's song "at the hop" for a few seconds.

That is about all I remember about it. Just one of those cheesy 80's comedy movies and I can not remember the name and it is driving me crazy.

My parents owned movie theaters, and I grew up in them. I've seen pretty much every movie that came out in the 1980's.

That does not ring a bell.

Judging by what you look like, I'd guess you're having a bad acid trip flashback.

I have a nameless movie I remember.

It's about a group of robots trying to reach a city. Throughout their journey, they're pursued by a robot police car. That's all I can recall.

Any suggestions as to the name?

Does not sound familiar.

Can you give a category (comedy, action, thriller) or a time frame...80's or something.

One of the main characters in Logan's Run was a robot. The two companions were human.

I barely saw it, just remembered the robot...:

THX 1138 perhaps? (which was George Lucas's first film and part of the story of where the name "THX Surround Sound" comes from).

Logan's Run had a weird resurgence recently, well maybe it wasn't popular in it's day. I remember seeing it in the top 100ish blu-rays on Amazon at one time.

He was memorable, wasn't he? :D The thing that gets me about futuristic movies and television series like Logan's Run is the whole "We're gonna build this humongous city-wide dome" to survive some sort of holocaust. I just don't see that ever happening. Who's gonna pay for something that dang big?

Arlington residents, please do not respond. :)

It's been a long time since I seen that movie (took a date to the theater) for some reason I don't remember the robot. :) For those of you who have seen it, next time you are in the DFW area, visit the Ft. Worth Water Gardens and see if something looks familiar. ;)

Found a small part of it on youtube.

at the 22 second point you will see that part that was filmed at the Water Gardens in Ft. Worth.

Most of the flick was filmed in the Dallas Apparel Mart/Market Center because of it's "futuristic look"... it's pretty funny to walk in there and see how dated it looks...
