I'm looking to buy some 5.1 surround speakers for my computer. I have (had) the Klipsch 5.1 pro media setup but it just bit the dust (probably happened when I beat the woofer to death when the cowboys lost to the Commanders. I should send Jerry Jones the freakin' bill! :banghead: ).

Anyway, the newer Klipsch promedia setup is $350. I'm looking to spend closer to 200-250, without giving up too much sound quality.

I check the boston acoustics site but they don't even have a computer section.

Can anyone help me out?

That setup looks niiiice. Thanks, Kid. :D

Is this the same one?

That one looks a little different. Not sure if it is slightly newer or older version but look at the speakers.

Another thing I noticed, one from tiger direct says 500 watts while the one from new egg says 505 watts.

I went directly to Logitech site and it looks like it is showing the same setup that is on the tiger direct site.

Take note of some of the reviews on either smartegg or tiger direct that the subwoofer is HUGE so you want to make sure you have room for it.

I know smart egg is a great site to order stuff from and I take it maybe you have had dealings with them and that is why you looked there.

My company orders stuff through tigerdirect (global computers) and we have never had any trouble with their service. I have ordered things from them over the years and normally get the products delivered before a weeks time and that is using regular shipment not two day service.

Rack yes its the same,.

and the sub is huge, its a ten incher i have mine right next to my bed.

I too have those speakers and they are AWESOME, on a side there is really no reason for these speaker to get as loud as they get. They are so loud I can knock pictures off my walls. the bass is always a little too much even with the sub turned all the way down.

Yeah I've ordered many many things from newegg. Never anything from Tigerdirect. I think the speakers are teh same in each pic, but in one of them the covers are removed from the speaker. Not sure.

I'll go ahead and order from TD just to be sure.

Thanks, BP.

I think the sub I had from my klipsch setup was 8" or 10". I do have room for it, but not an overabundance of it. And my computer room is small so this room is gonna be LOUD. :D

I'll order 'em when I get back from San Antonio tonight.

Thanks Guys.

Tiger Direct provides good service as well. I had to return some computer RAM and the RMA was very easy.
