Did Ayodele look lost and overwhelmed to everyone else or was it just me? I don't know if this has been covered in other threads, but he stood out as probably having the worst day.

I wanted to see more from the running game. The line did alright in pass protection--though I think that is as much a function of Romo's quickness as anything else. The holes really weren't there for running.

Did you see how freakin big that dude looks out there. I think he will fit in perfectly in this D-fense.

Did you watch the game? Maybe I'm expecting more from a guy expected to be a starter, but he looked mentally confused and physically overmatched. (He looked small to me for an ILB). I didn't keep track of stats.

What do you think were the negatives?

He looked as good as any LB (save Ellis, who looked amazing at times). I don't know what you saw, but I sure didnt notice him looking lost.

IMO, Ferguson and the run game were the negatives

Add me to the list of people who are baffled by this analysis. He didn't look bad at all.

What do you think were the negatives?

10 penalties for 80 yards.

No running game.

Two fumbled snaps.

I thought he did pretty decent. Almost had that pick toward the end, and would have been gone. Stones Hands II...wasn't that Dixon Edwards name, and then he picked one off and ran it in for a TD, in 92 or 93.

Alright. I admit I might be wrong--I haven't gone back and analyzed the game, but I came away from the game most dissapointed in Akin compared to anyone else. He's supposed to be our starter next to James and he was unimpressive (at best) on third string. I'll be glad to be wrong!

I'm not sure I agree with you bud. He seemed to do well against the run. Numerous times he took on the lead blocker and stuffed him at the line. Those runs went in the other direction through our d-tackles. I think Akin will do just fine.

I can only remember 1 instance where he looked to be out of position

Actually, that was his rookie season in 1991. In a wild 35-23 triumph over the Bengals, Jim Jeffcoat deflected a Boomer Esaison pass that Edwards leaped up and grabbed for the game clinching score.

not sure what you saw with Ayodele...looked ok to me and in addition to the tackles and the sack, he had what should have been an easy pick for a possible TD

the run blocking was terrible, seems like a continuation of the same
