Just downloaded it, and it's awesome. Interestingly they didn't actually include any queue management in their app, it's strictly for streaming which is fine since PhoneFlicks does a great job.

If you have a OS4 and Netflix, no reason not to have this app.

It even remembers where you were in movies you were watching elsewhere, so you can flip back and forth, start a computer on your pc, move to your xbox and finish it on your phone. Good stuff.

Does it require WiFi or will it stream over 3G? If only G3, how good is the actually quality?

I noticed Win7 Mobile has it too and Android version is in the works. Althought it looks like Blackberry is left out in the cold. :muttley:

Why would I want to get a third party app to do what the first party app should?

And incidentally, you can at least search movies and add them to your instant queue from the netflix app which is better than nothing.

Yeah it works over 3G, and the quality is decent. I think it scales depending on how good your bandwith is at the moment. I haven't tried it on WIFI yet to see how much better it would be.

What difference does it make if it's 3rd or 1st party? I thought you wanted to manage your queue?

I've been hesitating to upgrade to OS4... but would consider it for this.

I also jailbroke my phone not long ago, and I think after upgrading I'd have to re-do that as well.

Anyone have any experience with that?

I'd wait until they have the next version updated. iOS 4 still has issues with some iPhone 3G and 3Gs phones.

I just downloaded the Netflix app on my 3Gs with the old 3.1.3 software on my phone and it works Great!

No problems at all. Watching Arrested Development over the office's WiFi connection as I type this!
