I'm getting a little bit tired of them raising the prices once a year. I have 3 discs that have been sitting at home for the past month and a half though, gonna drop down to 1 disc at a time so they have at least succeeded in getting less money from me.

Figures that as soon as they achieve market dominance they'd start doing what killed the other businesses they just overtook, trying to wring every dime out of their loyal customer base.

Given the fact that I also have Blu Ray access, that would make my current plan of around $23 close to $28 bucks a month. I could buy two movies every month for that price.

If you aren't watching them much, why not just drop to that 2 disk per month plan? My kids stream the heck out of Netflix, so they will need to keep jacking in order to make money off of us! :D

The problem with streaming Netflix is you can't get every title out there..like you can with the DVD's.

Also you have to wait a month to get new releases on the DVD's

DirecTV has them the same day as they are availble...although admittedly it will cost a little more.

This and being stuck in a perpetual "Very Long Wait" state caused me to end my relationship with Netflix. I was interested in watching season 1 of Breaking Bad last year and planned on watching them before quitting. Over a month later when I couldn't get the first disc, I just gave up, bought both seasons and cut Netflix loose.

I'm thinking of ditching Netflix and going with Hulu Plus.

Netflix needs to apply a lot more instant streaming content to justfiy the cost. They have some good stuff but if a person goes full time to streaming, I don't see them sticking w/ it for to long.

Another thing people are forgetting to realize is many cable operators are or already have implemented download caps on cable/dsl modem packages.

My local cable/internet provider just started doing this in April of this year.

I cannot stand cable, but it's all we have here in Anchorage. I have sat at my folks house but I can't set that up at my house because of all of the trees surrounding it.

We were trying to get a particular disc within Season 1 of Breaking Bad on blue-ray. No joke, the disc arrived broken 6-7 times before we finally got one that would play.

I held on to the others, too, so I know they weren't just sending the same one repeatedly.

Who the hell would need eight DVDs out at a time? I mean, okay. Maybe you are going for a long movie watching weekend, but how do you pay that on a monthly basis?!?!?!
