I want to get a subscription to either Netflix or Hulu Plus.

I read some reviews.

I am leaning towards Netflix but wanted to hear you guys and gals out before I made my decision.

Note: No I won't get both :)

Ok let me run this down to u.....I first had netflix...then when they got rid of starz I got down with Hulu Plus....after being on Hulu Plus for 3 months i switched back to netflix. I have found that the stuff that comes on Hulu Plus I can either get on Netflix or my verizon on demand.
I have a total of 4 xboxes in my household so my task is life is keeping the masses quiet so I can get work done.

netflix is horrible.

grade b movies

hardly any high quality movies.

they do have alot of tv shows if that's your thing.

This for sure^

I use Project Free TV [site] , also Superusvoxtv for live stuff, use my comp to stream to the TV. As always use an ad blocker like adbloc plus;)

I have Netflix, but I mainly watch TV shows on it. (read Star Trek)

What's up brother! :D

Amazon Prime, $40 for an entire year plus way better selection of movies then Netflix.

Amazon if you like The West Wing or Fringe, Netflix if you have vast interests. Hulu for current tv.

I go with Netflix.

I go with Netflix.

Amazon has really stepped it up the last few months by adding a ton of new release movies & adding a lot of new TV series as well. I love that they added all of the ESPN 30 for 30 episodes.

Netflix has 30 for 30 aswell.. by far it has the most content. I will probably get amazon prime membership because of The West Wing and Fringe, plus the free two day shipping.

Hulu Plus still has ads/commercials right? lame for a subscription service.

Netflix was good last time I checked, but paying $8/month for 12 months is close to 100.

I have Amazon Prime student that I share with 3 other household members for $40 a year (ends up $10 per person). Not only does everyone get free prime shipping, but we all get prime instant video for free. I've watched downton abbey (really good show), etc. The only thing is that there's no close caption available. I've started watching Fringe, not bad!

I also like that because I have Amazon Prime, I get free lending books for my kindle. So all around, a much better value.

When I go to the Amazon Prime website, it says free for one month, then $79 a year. Not $40. Though I thought I saw it say $40 at one point.

You nailed it. :hammer:

Depends.

Do you primarily watch current TV shows or do you primarily watch movies that are a bit dated?

This is assuming you'll be streaming Netflix.

I think Netflix is the better of the two options, personally. As long as you don't mind the dated collection available for streaming.

That was the price when I got it about 6 months ago.

Thanks for the responses guys. You helped me finalize my decision. I will go with Netflix.

I will stream the service thru my Xbox

I need service for 2 reasons

1) Old TV Shows.
2) Content for my 6 year old twin boys.Old movies will do the trick for them.

I think Netflix will be OK for a year or so.
