Netflix Thread

If anybody wants to check out the british Netflix, which has new movies/shows that the American one doesn't. (Like Saving Private Ryan, Rome, Pearl Harbor, etc), just download the browser "Operah" and the add-on Zenmate. Very easy.

It got bad because it got popular and they started adding stuff to it to make it last much longer than it was originally going to run. Hurley was originally a side character and had NO back story and a much more limited role in the stories. The show got popular, he turned into a favorite so they started writing more stuff to make it last longer and his character more lines and back story.

It would have been interesting to see how that show would have went if they did not add more stuff to it and stretch it out like they did.

I think it would have had a lot less plot lines that went nowhere.

You're probably right. Series that, after their original renewal, limit themselves to the number of seasons, regardless of popularity, usually end up having more succinct story lines (i.e. Breaking Bad).

Really? I didn't know that. Very interesting since i'm re-watching it with my wife who has never seen the show. Only on episode 11 right now, and you can kind of see how Hurley is not a main character.

Yeah i love the IP changing thing, since i'm Canadian i have 3 different versions of Netflix, all with different stuff. Thank god, since the Canadian one sucks compared to the American one, which has wayyyy more shows and movies.

I'm not sure if this one has been mentioned anywhere, but a BBC program called Happy Valley has recently been made available through Netflix. I was very pleased with this one.
