Can someone explain this to me?

It's that event about some dad making a big balloon in his backyard for weather or something.

Then, the story came out that his little boy got inside the balloon somehow, and then when the balloon got cut loose it started to float up into the air with the little boy inside the balloon.

It crossed several states (i think) and the whole nation watched it on TV because everyone thought the little boy was inside the balloon.

The little boy's dad made the whole story up. And the dad told the little boy to go hide in some part of the house as this whole story was going on.

Later on, they found out that it was a hoax and the little boy was never in the balloon.



I don't know what ever happened to the little boy's parents or if they ever got charged with the hoax that had the whole nation watching.


Hope that helps...maybe someone else can clean my story up.
