Several reasons I suspect Gallimore could be back to Dallas this week.

1. Broaddus said in multiple podcasts that the Cowboys were still shopping at DT. He shared details with Voch, who in his solo podcast this weekend spilt one extra detail. That detail? The guys the Cowboys were targeting was a *former Cowboy*.

2. I was just checking the Dolphins roster projections and currently Neville is not projected to make their team.

Depends. Is Gallimore what Zimmer wants at DT? At this point he should have more left in the tank than either Jordan Phillips or Linval Joseph, but the main reason Dallas signed those guys was the scheme fit.

Gallimore was in Quinn's doghouse. Coming back to Dallas and starting fresh under Zimmer might be the move for him.

Gallimore is on a one-year 1.8 million dollar contract.

If it's a trade I'd suspect the Dolphins are seeking a 7th round pick and the Cowboys would want to do less than that (e.g. a swap of a 7 for a 6 or something like that).

As for it moving the needle much? He would backup Osa at the league's least glamorous position, so I understand if there's little enthusiasm here.

Idk man, this doesn't really do much for me. I watched Gallimore at OU, and he was a dominate force at times. Problem is he disappeared more often than not, and it carried over to the NFL. I was hopeful for several years that he would turn it on, and it looked like he had before the elbow injury. Afterwards, he just never really showed back up. All world talent, far too inconsistent. Maybe Zim can whip him into shape?

Might it be the kid from Arkansas that we drafted that went to Washington?

Gallimore is a poor run defender .. if he cannot run defend for Quinn,..what expects him to run defend for a more demanding physical geared Zimmer defense ?

Would rather have Ridgeway than Gallimore. Ridgeway at least has a place in this league
i would too ... if we were pursuing more 1 tech types, and Ridge did not make the cut . .but are we already stocked at 1 tech ?

Exactly.

Cowboys now have Mazi (337 lb), Phillips (341 lb) and Nose tackle Linval Joseph (329 lb).

They would bring Gallimore in as backup for 3-tech Osa (280 lb)

only it's a new defensive regime. It's Zimmer & Zgonia era and preference.
it's not a given that they like what Gallimore offers.
