New NFL Nike jerseys?

Didn't see this posted anywhere else, though I may have overlooked it...

These images were linked to a message board on the Baltimore Sun's website. They purportedly include what could be Nike Pro Combat uniform designs for the 2012 season, when Nike replaces Reebok as the official NFL jersey supplier. However Yahoo! Sports reports from a Nike source that the designs are not real."

Some are kind of cool looking - Cardinals, Ravens, Panthers, Bucs. Some are darn ugly - Steelers, Commanders, Chiefs, and the most hideous of all is the Pats. But absolutely none of them are authentic prototypes. Nike doesn't tell the teams how to design their uniforms, it's the other way around.

I didn't think the Cowboys prototype was all that bad, but quite frankly it really wasn't all that significantly different from what they current wear. Well, what I mean is that it isn't quite as radical as some other changes like the one they did for the Patriots, Bengals or Commanders. I mean, the font is different as is the "Cowboys" name but the helmet is pretty much just same, just an oversized logo. The color scheme looks to be the same, although the guy who did this photoshopping should have used a Cowboys white jersey instead of the dark blues (for obvious reasons).

most of those are terrible, but the panthers and jets should absolutely change to those uniforms right now. there was a thread on this last week and it came out that those weren't from Nike, just some guys designs.

I wish they would stop wearing these throwbacks during the Michigan game.

Another game if you have too OK...but not the Michigan game.

This whole thread is a non-story. These uniform atrocities are something some punk came up with and have nothing to do with nike. This is just speculation or wishing of some warped imagination. I read something about this 2 weeks ago on www.uniwatch.com and Paul Lukas would even address it much stating it's a non-story. Don't worry. Nike will do what the NFL wants with it's uniforms not the other way around.
