So I broke down and moved off of my Dell Streak. It was a nice device, but had some consistent sound issues as far as call and output. Many streak owners complained about this, but Dell never addressed it, sadly.

So....after about 5 months using the fire out of my Streak, I decided to move on to a different ATT Droid device.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Inspire 4G was available and picked up one off of Ebay for a song.

Admittedly it doesn't bring more than the Streak, but the 8MG camera, but I have always wanted an HTC device because of SENSE. I now get to go root/rom the crappola out of this new beefy little phone.

Im stoked! :p:

Also Netflix streaming now working on this device, was also a big selling point for me.

1st chore is to root the phone and immediately get GB 2.3 isntalled along w/ CoreDroid 6.5. Should be a fun week. :p:

NOTE: The reason I stay w/ ATT is because of my unlimited data plan w/ them. I am grandfathered in so I get to keep it. Sprint isn't available in AK, so that isn't an option.

Think about: This device - unlimited data plan and Netflix streaming + with built-in DLNA connectivity, you can stream videos, photos, and music wirelessly, from your phone to your flatscreen.

MUHAHAHAH

You like SENSE that much huh? I don't really like it and I have the EVO. I thought sense was poorly designed (navigating through home screens, lack of a better notification bar with toggle options, texting/phone book interface). I prefer Touch Wiz Pro to SENSE but maybe that's just me.

It won't really matter if you plan on rooting and customizing it of course. ;)

ADW Launcher Ex made me move from Launcher Pro.

ADW Launcher EX is super fast w/o any lag. I am running it right now on my Streak.

Avid fan of Launcher Pro but there always seemed to be a lag on my phone when swiping screens and call bars, so I switched over.

Never tried Touch Wiz Pro though. Is it free, or pay?

Pro sounds like it's pay. :p:

I have the Echo, but I'm going to switch to the Samsung Epic. I would get the EVO, but I want the slide out keyboard the Epic has. I need large buttons for typing.

I switched to Sprint because my friend who works for them was able to add me as a friend so it's $30 for unlimited everything (except minutes, but I won't use those).

Touch Wiz Pro is what Samsung phones use. HTC uses SENSE. Different GUI's between manufacturers. I thought you were talking about stock user
interfaces at first.

But yes, I use adw launcher on my phone instead of HTC's sense.

So lucky. $30 bucks for all of that. No other carrier will be able to price match that. Heck, the major carries can't even price match the equivalent sprint plan for 4g phones. You got such a sweet deal.
