New Pitt coach arrested in domestic case

They just hired this guy and he turns around and gets arrested. Wow..

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Michael Haywood, introduced two weeks ago as the head football coach at Pitt, was arrested Friday on domestic violence charges in South Bend, Ind., police said.

Police said Haywood -- who once played football at Notre Dame and had worked for four years as offensive coordinator for the Fighting Irish -- was arrested shortly after 3 p.m. at a home he owns and booked into the St. Joseph County Jail, The South Bend Tribune reported.

I think the powers-that-be at Pitt saw this as a golden opportunity to duck out of a horrible and unpopular decision on their part. I think they would have been more forgiving if it were Lou Saban, Urban Meyer, etc.
