Is the second season on already?

I know they did a new season last year or the year before and had fox and mulder with another young set of agents that it looked like they were grooming to take over...but I did not know the next season started yet.

The shows revival season(10) was Jan 24, 2016

This is season 11. Two years.... I couldn’t believe it was gonna take that long when I read that in early 2017 (Duchovny was work on another show Aquarius) ... it’s canceled now.

I forgot it was on last night. Gonna catch it tonight.

Unless you've kept up with the story, I would imagine it didn't make a lot of sense. I'm an X-Files freak so I loved it and I think I see where Cris Carter is stirring this bus. I hope these precious few episodes are not all sticking to the "My Struggle" saga. I'd like to see a couple of episodes that are "monster of the week" type shows. How did Jeffery Spender get his face back? If cancer man is the daddy, why did they assume Fox was the father of Dana's baby? I'm not sure I'm buying the daddy is cancer man. I guess that was supposed to be William at the end there.

I recorded it and tried 3 times to watch, about halfway in now. I am having a hard time getting into this one.

well she has said that before. I think it really depends on how this batch ends. If they really think it ends well that could be it.

From what I have read only 2 or 3 episodes are going to be the main story arc, and the rest will be mostly stand alones.

I’m a fan of Scully. Glad she is back.

But...
Go out on top?
She hasn’t had much going on since original ended?
She went back to bring back an old show. That’s not exactly going out on top formula.

It’s the shows formula... not a fan. I like one good, continuous story.
I didn’t like that when they did that with FRINGE either.

I liked that with Fringe they tied even the stand alone eps to the main story, even if it was a small detail.

X-files my all-time favorite show.
I thought it was really good.
I'm disappointed we are back to "which side is Skinner on/can we trust him" angle....and that cancer man is now somebody elses daddy...how many is this now???.....what next....he's Scully's daddy or Skinner???...not buying it.I never believed he was Mulders dad...not believing he is Williams.
As a stand alone episode...really good.
I want more like last seasons "Trash Man".
