New Years day Traditional meals

I like the symbolism. Have a few bites for me please, i could use all three, well maybe not the coins, unless they're gold or silver coins.

I've tried it all, black eyed peas, greens and sauerkraut my German grandparents had for good luck. I do not have any proof any of that works.

I don't do traditional unless you call a ham every New Years Day for 50 years a tradition. I do think that qualifies as traditional. In fact, doing something on the same day every year for 50 years might be considered inescapable traditionalism. Using that hambone for beans and some semisweet cornbread is also a tradition. I am in a rut! However, the other tradition is Bloody Mary's in the late morning and Mimosas in the afternoon, so tradition can be very friendly.

Now, what accompanies that ham is where tradition can take a hike. This year it's Waldorf salad, mashed potato salad and pickled homemade jalapeno halves stuffed with crunchy peanut butter.

I make a hamburger dip for bowl day.
•2 cans tomato soup
•2 cans cream of mushroom soup.
•2 cans of diced Rotel.
•1 pound of hamburger meat
•velveta block

just eat on it all day.

• Left over Spaghetti (from the night before) as I got up pretty late.
• Flank steak with grilled onions and peppers. Also brazed potatoes.
• Finished the day with hot wings.
