Draft a corner high, and move Henry to free safety?

Thoughts?

What that does is give us ridiculous depth.

When we go into the nickel our coverage would be that much better, having a 1st rd cb, newman, henry, and glenn...

And when Glenn retires we can still have a prominent nickel package, and hopefully then we could use Pat Watkins or at least have found a suitable free safety.

I like this idea alot... it really gives us 3 corners on the field and as pass happy as the league is now you need your FS to be able to cover like a corner

Don't give up on Watkins yet. Yah he looked very bad early on this year, but the kid is a rookie and has so much potential.

a CBs best friend is a pass rush...and simply put....we DO NOT have one

We'll get Ellis back next year. Hopefully Carpenter's mind and body will have matured in his 2nd year in the nfl. Maybe Kevin Burnett takes on a larger role next year. Hopefully we get a new dline coach.

I doubt Ellis starts next season.

If he can get healthy before training camp, i have no doubt that he starts next year.

Ellis may never play another down, period.

The current package of Newman-Henry then Glenn on 3rd is good. The secondary has a lot of money in it right now and with Romo deserving a new deal it's hard to pump another 1st into the secondary. Reeves is still on this team and was pretty good last year.

I'm all for adding another CB to replace Jones and compete with Reeves/Glenn.

I was interested in Cromartie last April, but it's just a lot of talent without enough spots to use them when we needed OL and a LB (before Ellis played well).

But hey, if the guy is there in the 20s/30s at CB, can't say no I guess. BPA nearly
