All right boys, put up or shut up time. Who you got?
1. Cowboys. I think we take the division on a tiebreaker over the Eagles. I believe that our O-line will be a top 10 line this year. I really like what I see in Guyton. The Dak-CD connection will be the most productive in terms of raw numbers this year. We know Dak is a regular season stat monster, and that should lead us to 11 wins. I have concerns about our run game and interior run defense, but the offensive output that Dak and Co. can put out will win us a few shootouts. I don't think we have the most talent in the division, but that won't matter, as the team I think has the most talent has quite a few questions about the use of that talent. Of course, we'll probably fail in the playoffs without a decent run game and run stopping middle of the defense. I wonder if Big Mike will have a touch of "hot seat desperation" in his coaching this year.
2. Eagles. I see 11 wins here but their ceiling could be higher than ours. Their Brown-Smith duo is either the best or second-best WR duo in the league. If Barkley stays healthy, this will be one tough team to stop. Starting O-line is excellent as usual but how good is the depth? Goedert is starting the season a bit injured, but he will play regardless. I know we like to bang on Moore, but he's a much better coordinator than what they had last year. If Hurts becomes the Hurts of 2022, look out. Their backup QB blows, period. But Sirianni, the ego ****** needs to stop calling the plays--he's terrible. Let's not forget the Eagles offensive didn't take off in 2022 until Stiechen took over play calling from their ****** Bag coach. On defense, I don't believe they have good enough LB's to run Fangio's 3-4 hybrid scheme with consistency. Fangio's scheme blitzes below league average, counting on complex zone coverages to confuse the QB. Their rookie DB's will have to step up, but their D-line looks scary. They also have seven depth pieces as a team starting the year on IR.
3. Commanders. Please get a new name already! They have a nice shiny new piece in Jayden Daniels. At 6'4", 210, he looks a lot like Randall Cunningham--too bad he doesn't have anything close to Cunningham's arm strength. Is Austen Ekeler washed, or was he a victim of being on a team coached by the Jason Garrett of the AFC? At least they didn't keep him for 10 years. Is Brian Robinson ready to be a stud #1 RB? Does McLaurin have a good enough #2 to take some pressure off him? Is Zach Ertz washed??? The O-line is good in pass protection, despite having only average tackles. Their run blocking leaves a bit to be desired. On defense, they have a touch of the Eagles: strong up front but questions in the back seven. They don't have the horses on offense to keep up with the Boys or Birds. But they will be in most games. I am interested in seeing how Daniels develops. I see eight wins for this team.
4. Giants. Will be one of the three worst teams in the NFL. They have Dexter Lawrence, Andrew Thomas, a rookie WR in Malik Nabers who they hope will be the first piece of a future good offense, and....JAG's at best for the rest. I am almost certain Nabers is crying himself to sleep at night knowing that Daniel Jones is his QB. Hell, I would too. There's not much to say. The Giants will suck with four wins.
