So much blathering on about our running back situation. And yet, they just gloss over the offensive line/secondary issues in Seattle, the defensive issues and loss of Nelson in Green Bay, the extremely iffy defense in Pittsburgh, the ridiculous secondary in Philly, the atrocious defense in Indy, and the rapid decline of Peyton in Denver.

But Demarco Murray is gone, and that's all Dallas had?

Please.

It doesn't matter, don't care. but this comes purely from the bias and hate against Dallas.
It shows how stupid these people are too, Probably because of 1 player...a RB...which if they know football, which they obviously don't. But that 1 player does not make that big of a difference.

Fwiw...pretty much everyone else has Dallas in the 4 - 8 range.

Even NFL has a Rankings Poll, but only done by one guy, that has Dallas 5th.

People that didn't watch the Cowboys play attribute all of our success to the running game, aka Demarco Murray who is no longer with us. While it's true our running game was a huge part in our success, it wasn't because of Demarco Murray. Sure he's a hell of a RB, but our Offensive Line and Passing Threats will open up running lanes for anyone; Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden, and even Christine Michael (she hits like a truck!). We may suffer a minor set back in the running game this year, but most likely it will be off set by a healthier Romo and a more dominant defense due to an actual pass rush. I see a solid 11 wins with this team, and I honestly think that's being a little bit conservative.

Casuals or people that don't watch the Cowboys see we've lost Demarco Murray and think we're going to automatically fall off, but they will sadly be mistaken come opening day! I'm ecstatic about how much our roster has improved this off season.

Look back at last year's predictions. It's embarrassing that these folks manage to avoid real work by spewing this garbage year after year.

Could it be that we are in some kind of "Homer" Bubble? And we just cant see it? The whole frog in boiling water thing...?

And the Cowboys aren't as good as we think they are?

I drafted a teamon darftkings last night. I wanted to pick all Cowboys players!! Witten, Dez, DMC, Romo, and Twill at flex!!

methinks; The Outsiders , the casual observers, dont really beleive in the Cowboys. Yeah, the Cowboys pop up with a good season from time to time, but its the same ole Cowboys, they will go back to 9-7, 8-8, and be that same underperforming team liek we have come to expect for the last 20 years...

They dont beleive;

I do. This time is different....

Click bait, they know Cowboys fans will click and then talk about it.

Agreed. If you rank the Cowboys about 5-8, nobody pays much attention to your article. You rate them really low, it gets people clicking and that's how these internet writers are usually paid.

Maybe they should try ranking them #1.
Get the clicks from the Cowboys fans AND the haters AND all the in between fans from other teams.
Man. I am telling y'all these pundits are stupid...but we already know that.........

The danger is that the NFL is such a fine-line league.

Even in the glory days of the 90s, the Cowboys won most of the time by a touchdown or less. People like to remember differently, but it wasn't a series of 20-point wins. Wins are tough to come by.

Everything comes down to (1) injuries, (2) turnovers, and (3) a handful of plays here and there.

Beating the giants and iggles right of the bat is a great way to start the season and shut these pundits down. Let's get to it.

I would agree but would point out:

We knew when it came time to win, that those Cowboys teams....were going to win. And we were shocked when they didnt.

Also. Yes, the NFL strives for parity. But the same teams seem to find their way to the top. NE,GB,Seattle. Pittsburgh, Indy, Denver, Baltimore, and to a lesser degree, Philly, NY. Although Philly cant seem to win in the playoffs and NY put together some fluke years imho....probably could add SD too.

There is a clear line between the franchises that win, and the franchises that dont....

That would be a heck of a statement. I want 3-1 or better by the time Hardy returns.
